PC → Mac: switching the PC's keyboard layout makes the Mac receive letters from the wrong layout

What happened

Setup:

Beamer 1.4.1 on both machines
Windows 10, modifier style: Semantic
macOS 26.6.2, Apple silicon, input sources: English + Russian

Steps:

Mac on English, PC driving the Mac. Typing and Ctrl+C work.
Switch the PC's layout alt+shift.
Go back to the Mac.

Result: with the Mac still on English, letters from the PC arrive as Cyrillic, and Ctrl+letter shortcuts type a letter instead of working (Ctrl+C types "с"). Ctrl+Tab still works.

Switching the Mac's layout to Russian and back to English restores normal behaviour until the next PC layout switch.

Thanks for the clear report, it reproduced straight away. Beamer sent the character each key types on the PC's current layout, so after Alt+Shift the PC sent Cyrillic, and a Mac on English has no key for "с", so it typed it as text and dropped Ctrl. Each key now also says where it sits on the keyboard: a shortcut always lands on the right key, and a letter from another alphabet types whatever the Mac's own layout has there, just as its own keyboard would. It works the other way round too. It's fixed in 1.4.2: https://github.com/kalkman-code/beamer/releases/tag/v1.4.2

Update Beamer on both machines.
