@jeffheath-sil thanks for you submission. Some comments:

  • You've got a mixture of "SIL Tchad" and "SIL Chad". I think it would be okay to be consistent with "SIL Tchad" since that is what the LICENSE.md has. You also include "SIL International" in the welcome.htm and the .php file. Those should be changed to "SIL Tchad" also.
  • In addition, the only place I want to see the years for the copyright are in the LICENSE.md file. That way we don't have to remember to update the years in future updates
  • The .kvks file is empty. You should "Fill from layout" so the On-screen will actually produce something usable.
  • You might consider adding a "hint" on the hamza key on the touch layout so that people would know they could get the alef-madda. It's not as obvious a choice as the other characters. You can add the actual character in the hint instead of the dot.
  • One other issue is the <style> information in the .php file. All style information should go in the header rather than below it. You can see how it's been handled here by importing it in css, or here by putting it under @pagestyle.
  • In the .kps description, you might consider using this text since it will appear on the keyboard home page:
This keyboard enables the typing of Chadian languages that use Arabic script, including all Arabic script special characters defined in the Chadian National Alphabet.

Ce clavier vous permet de saisir les langues de Tchad qui utilisent l’écriture arabe, y compris tous les caractères spéciaux en écriture arabe défini dans l’Alphabet National Tchadien.

Otherwise, it looks good.

@LornaSIL Thanks for the helpful feedback. I believe I've addressed all of the issues (plus a few extra things). Let me know if there are still things to fix up.

Thank you for your contribution!

This keyboard has now been published and will shortly be available at: https://keyman.com/keyboards/sil_tchad_arabe.

(There may be a delay of a few minutes for deployment of the keyboard to run across multiple services.)
