Summary

Meridian is now open source under the MIT License (Copyright (c) 2026 Alen Požun (kukirin-ui)). This repo was private during development; now that v1 is finished it is public again.

Changes

• License & community files: MIT LICENSE, rewritten README.md, CONTRIBUTING.md, CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md (Contributor Covenant 2.1), SECURITY.md, CHANGELOG.md, issue/PR templates.
• Everything unlocked: removed all licence-key, trial, imagined-preview, lock and PRO-badge code paths in the UI (JS) and the Java bridge. API platform cap is 32 for everyone.
• Pro = Premium features. Premium is described as optional support aimed at businesses (priority help).
• Support & Plans screen (replaces Plans): Donate (unchanged existing checkout link, now optional), Get support (email), Source code (this repo).
• About footer and Terms show MIT.
• v4 changes brought in: setTimeout(meshBoot, 0) startup fix, mesh-v2/ bundle (worker, router, Add links, my-knowledge/), sandbox sets, updated config and skill trees.
• Removed: tools/license/, PRICES.md, AUDIT.md, stale meridian.zip; licensing/monetization sections of docs/ROADMAP.md.
• Shizuku/rish/fingerprint/password features untouched.

Verification

• Three independent sweeps for closed-source/licensing/paywall/trial/lock/upgrade leftovers.
• Secrets scan of tree and full git history: clean.
• Headless Chrome with stubbed bridge: no console errors, Support buttons fire the expected calls, all formerly paid pages open.
• Debug APK built and signed with the same debug key as v4; apksigner verify passes.
