- Line 35: Update the effect cleanup in AccountAuthChoiceModal so focus
restoration is deferred with requestAnimationFrame instead of calling
previous.focus synchronously. Keep the isConnected and focus-function checks
inside the scheduled callback before restoring focus.
- Around line 61-64: Update the focus-trap logic in the modal’s keydown handler
to collect all enabled, keyboard-focusable elements inside dialog.current,
including inputs and textareas, rather than only buttons. Exclude hidden or
otherwise non-visible nodes while retaining intentionally tabbable visually
hidden controls, then use the resulting ordered collection for first/last focus
wrapping so Tab cannot escape the dialog.
In `@gui/src/components/provider-workspace/account-tokens-estimate.ts`:
- Around line 186-188: Update computeOAuthAccountLogLabel to hash the
server-normalized provider value, preferably reusing the server-provided
logLabel when available; otherwise apply baseProviderLabel-equivalent
normalization before combining it with accountId. Preserve the existing hash
algorithm and label format so GUI lookups match server-generated labels.
In `@gui/src/components/provider-workspace/AnthropicAccountPoolSettings.tsx`:
- Line 75: Scope the asynchronous pool state in AnthropicAccountPoolSettings to
the provider that owns it. When provider changes, synchronously hide or clear
state until the new getPoolSettings request completes, and abort or ignore GET
and PUT completions captured for any provider no longer current. Add focused
regression coverage that defers both GET and PUT responses while switching
providers, verifying stale values and completions cannot affect the new
provider.
In `@gui/src/components/provider-workspace/ProviderAuthPanel.tsx`:
- Line 546: Update the toolbar filter prop in ProviderAuthPanel to use
effectiveAccountFilter instead of accountFilter, matching the filter applied to
the provider list and ensuring labels and counts reflect the downgraded value
when model families are unavailable. Also use effectiveAccountFilter for the
empty-state reset comparison so reset behavior matches the applied filter.
- Around line 337-348: Update the useEffect using autoProbedKeyRef so the roster
key is assigned only inside the delayed timer callback immediately before
onRefreshQuota runs, and not when scheduling the timer. Keep the existing
cleanup clearing the timer, allowing StrictMode teardown before firing to leave
the key unset so the subsequent effect run schedules the probe.
- Line 328: Update refreshQuota in
gui/src/components/provider-workspace/ProviderAuthPanel.tsx around lines 322–328
to accept an optional accountId and forward it to onRefreshQuota, resolving the
undefined reference and zero-argument type error. At

English entries in the duplicate block for keys already translated earlier,
including the pws.rail, pws.cockpitImportPasteClipboard through
pws.authChoiceModalSubtitle, nav.collapseSidebar/nav.expandSidebar, and

wording in gui/src/i18n/zh.ts lines 3222-3222. No other behavior changes are
needed.
- Line 3206: Update the canonical genericPool.visualResetFirst text and both
Chinese translations to mention that the weekly reset is preferred, with the
5-hour reset used when no weekly reset is available. Preserve the existing
behavior description that accounts remain active until exhausted before

across both windows.
In `@gui/src/pages/Providers.tsx`:

Hi @Ingwannu (cc @lidge-jun) - asking for a security review pass on this one. This PR unifies three closed provider-workspace PRs (#4560, #5068, #5069) into a single branch on the latest dev. Everything else is green: typecheck, GUI lint, privacy scan, structure check, focused suites, 4/4 readiness boxes, MERGEABLE. The only remaining gate is hygiene unsponsored_surface - the reset-first backend touches the auth surface:
No credential/token handling changes: ranking/selection logic over cached quota evidence, label hashing stays o + sha256(provider + id) with no emails or raw ids, and the GUI reuses the server-provided logLabel where present. Happy to walk through any hunk. Once reviewed, could you please apply the maintainer-sponsored label? That will let the gate lift the draft and notify for final review. |

Thanks, @agentHits. This is a substantial provider-workspace redesign. For release train 4 I only assessed fit, and it is too large to land as one change right now. It spans 67 files with 7,790 added lines. The fastest path to landing parts of it is a set of smaller PRs on current |
Thanks for the clear assessment, I appreciate you spelling out the blockers. Honest feedback on process: I wish the "too large as one change" signal had come a week earlier — I invested quite a bit of effort into revisions following review comments, and the size of the change hasn't fundamentally changed since then. That's demotivating. For now, I'll keep this working in my own branch (rebasing onto dev and resolving conflicts locally) since it works for me there. I'm not planning to split it into smaller PRs in the near term. One question: you'd like to keep this open as the reference — happy to do that, or would you rather I close it to keep the queue clean? Just let me know. |
|
Follow-up to my comment above, with a bit more context. If the scoping verdict and sponsorship support had come faster, I believe we could have landed this together in 1-3 days. Desire plus fast feedback is the whole game here. Had I received the "split it into smaller PRs" signal right away, I would absolutely have tried to break it into pieces. Getting it at this stage is demotivating, honestly. I will keep publishing small fixes I notice while using the new functionality, as time and energy allow. But realistically: if I see no movement on the review side, I will stop pushing for upstream and just continue local development on top of your work, for myself. Two related threads:
About me: I am mostly an ideas person, not a coder. What I do well is notice problems users run into and surface them. Everything GUI + Antigravity + account rotation related lives in my working branch agentHits/dev on my fork, kept rebased on your latest dev. Feel free to install and check it if curious. And frankly, you would probably do a better job than me at taking pieces from there and shaping them into community PRs - I built it for my own comfort, but you know the codebase well enough to publish it properly for everyone. If you ever do that, I would be grateful. I think you would find some interesting ideas there. |

Current-head correctness follow-up at d4112b3e5dc540e7ba907c42bdcddda072d3d702.
The stale-ID force-all issue is addressed in source: fetchProviderAccountQuotas() first checks roster membership and uses an unscoped force refresh for an unknown ID; a focused stale-ID regression is present. The account-removal dialog now clears on provider-name/API-base changes. I have not rerun those tests or withdrawn the prior review.
P2 — superseded manual OAuth refresh can report success after a newer structured quota failure. gui/src/hooks/useProviderAccountPools.ts:255 writes freshLandedRef.current[key] = generation for every current HTTP-successful quota payload, immediately before returning false when any enriched row has quotaUnavailable === true. The older request's stale-quota branch at line244 then calls supersededByFresher(), which treats that generation marker as success.
Concrete source-level interleaving: hold request A's quota response; let newer B return HTTP200 with a valid roster and quotaUnavailable:true. B returns false and publishes unavailable state, but records a fresh generation. Resolve A: it detects B's newer quota generation and returns true via supersededByFresher(), despite B's failed quota outcome. The HTTP503 variant does not stamp this marker; the issue is the structured-unavailable response, including a roster with one failed account and otherwise successful rows.
Please distinguish a landed quota observation from a successful refresh outcome. A stale request may join a newer successful quota outcome, not merely a newer generation that settled. Preserve newer membership, selection, last-good readings and unavailable flags. Add three overlap controls: newer HTTP failure → false, newer HTTP200/unavailable → false, newer successful enrichment → true.
I added those three review-only cases beside the existing mounted-hook harness in an isolated worktree, but did not execute them: other projects' Cargo builds are running, and the host's serial-validation policy forbids adding a test workload. This report is a concrete source-level interleaving, not a claimed executable reproduction or live incident. No author-branch changes, scan, live provider/account calls, CI authorization, sponsorship or approval were performed. The original review stays active; the current-head executable CI is still approval-pending.

Executed the previously prepared overlap regressions on unchanged production head d4112b3: 2 pass, 1 fail (12 assertions). The HTTP503 control returns false and the successful-enrichment control returns true. The HTTP200/quotaUnavailable case fails: newer B returns false, then superseded A returns true, expected false. This confirms the remaining blocker in review 5479017317; it is no longer only source-level evidence.
Command from gui/: Bun 1.4.0 test --no-env-file --preload ../tests/preload.ts --isolate ./tests/provider-account-quota-loading.test.tsx --test-name-pattern 'review-only superseded OAuth refresh' --timeout 20000. The three reviewer-only cases extend the existing mounted-hook harness; no production files or your branch were changed. Synthetic fetch only, new private homes, CPUQuota=75%, MemoryMax=1536M, swap disabled.
Please keep the latest quota outcome alongside its generation, so superseded callers can join a newer success without treating a structured unavailable observation as success. The existing change request remains active; this is not broader GUI or sponsorship approval.

For the new mentions: head remains |
Brings the branch onto upstream/dev a63267c. It was 982 commits behind and conflicted in 12 files; an earlier automated rebase of this branch had not actually completed, and the previous head did not compile (gui/src/App.tsx had lost its root wrapper element). Conflict resolution keeps upstream's behaviour and re-seats this branch's card workspace on top of it: - Pool strategies: the generic `reset-first` from this branch sits next to upstream's Kiro-only `least-loaded`. `parseGenericPoolStrategy` takes the provider name, so `least-loaded` stays Kiro-only and `reset-first` stays kernel-gated. - `fetchProviderAccountQuotas` carries upstream's `liveConfig` and this branch's `onlyAccountId`; a scoped id that matches no account still forces every account, covered by "a stale scoped id falls back to force-all". - The account cards absorb what upstream added to the list rows since the merge base: pause and resume, the per-account auto-switch control, the Anthropic Pool 2 instance, the Kiro device-login chooser and the Kiro skip reason. - Dialogs and pool state are bound to the scope they were opened for (API base plus provider), following upstream's grant dialog. The removal confirmation no longer survives a provider or server switch. - `AnthropicAccountPoolSettings` is a three-way merge: upstream's no-optimistic-save flow, request scoping and native Messages preference, with this branch's generic-pool copy and supported-field gating. - pt-BR, added upstream as a tenth locale, gets the 152 keys this branch introduces. - Screenshot evidence under docs/pr-assets is removed from the branch; the repository hygiene test rejects it. Two upstream GUI tests are adapted to the card DOM without weakening what they assert: anthropic2-provider-surfaces selects through the card controls and confirms removal in the dialog, and exempts the provider-agnostic /api/logs token-estimate read from "every request names anthropic2". …tcome
`useProviderAccountPools` stamped `freshLandedRef[key] = generation` for every
HTTP 200 quota payload and only then returned false for a structured
`quotaUnavailable` row. A refresh A that had been superseded by B consulted
that stamp and reported success, so the operator saw "Quota check completed"
for a read whose newest result was a failure.
A landed quota observation and a successful refresh are now separate facts.
The hook keeps the latest quota outcome next to its generation
(`quotaOutcomeRef: { generation, ok }`), written for a structured-unavailable
payload, a thrown quota read and a failed roster read alike. A superseded
request joins the newer request only when that outcome is newer and ok. The
newer request's membership, selection, last-good readings and unavailable
flags are applied exactly as before; only the boolean a stale caller receives
changes.
Overlap controls in provider-account-quota-loading.test.tsx, each asserting
the returned value, the active account, the roster membership and the
last-good/unavailable flags:
- newer HTTP failure -> superseded A returns false
- newer HTTP 200 / unavailable -> superseded A returns false
- newer successful enrichment -> superseded A returns true
- a later failure after an earlier success -> false (latest outcome wins)
Against the previous hook the unavailable and latest-outcome cases fail and
the HTTP-failure and success controls pass, which is the reproduction in
review 5481554870.
Also in this change, because it is the same overlap seen from the poller: the
visibility poll skips a provider whose forced quota read is still in flight
instead of starting a cached read that would supersede it.
The removal-confirmation scope binding that landed with the merge gets its
regression test here: the dialog does not follow the panel to another provider
or another API base, and confirming back in the original scope removes from
that scope only.

… findings The accounts toolbar offered a live-looking strategy selector for a generic pool while `pool.kernel` was off, when the runtime does not consume the stored strategy. The dashboard read `inert` from /api/pool/settings, but the unified DTO never served it, so the flag was always false. - The unified DTO reports `inert` for the generic kind. The field is already optional in the CLI's pool schema and in the documented `account pool` shape; codex and anthropic keep their key set. The contract test pins both. - The toolbar disables the selector and labels it "Saved, not live" while inert. - A stored strategy this dashboard does not model (Kiro's CLI-only `least-loaded`) is shown as stored instead of as the default, and the pool switch writes only `enabled`, so toggling can no longer overwrite it. Smaller review findings: - AccountAuthChoiceModal restores focus after the frame that removes the dialog, so the trigger is focusable again when focus returns. - The reset-first description names the 5-hour fallback in every locale. - A card cannot start a quota read while another read is running in the same roster. - Full-width card rows span `1 / -1` instead of two columns, so they no longer force a second column in the single-column mobile grid. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
27169f1 removed 493 lines from provider-workspace-settings.css while clearing review findings. The collapsed-sidebar rules it also dropped from pool-followup.css were dead; these were not. 25 of the removed selectors are still referenced by the accounts workspace and no other stylesheet defines them: the toolbar card and its rows, the filter dropdown, the sort select, the search box, the segmented controls, the two-column accounts grid and the active-card highlight. Since that commit the Accounts tab rendered those as unstyled stacked controls in a single column, which went unnoticed because the description kept screenshots taken before it. The two hunks are restored verbatim from 27169f1^ (reverse-applied; they still apply cleanly). The file stays under the size threshold at 1845 lines. Two things the first correctly styled render showed: - A paused card squeezed its hint into the title block, where it truncated both the account name and the reason. The badge and the reason now sit in their own row under the header. - The pool switch resized the shared toggle inline, which fought the knob's own centering and drew the knob off the track. It now uses the shared toggle scaled down, the way the Codex credits switch does. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Ten commits landed on dev while this branch was being validated; the merge is automatic, with one union defect that neither side has alone. lidge-jun#6959 added two lines to src/providers/quota.ts, whose file-size cap is 558. With this branch's scoped-refresh parameter the file reached 560. The parameter's comment and the stale-id fallback are tightened to bring it to 555; behaviour is unchanged and "a stale scoped id falls back to force-all" still covers it. It reads no component state, so it moves to module scope with a named state type. - The token-estimate effect set state after an `await` behind a combined condition; the cancellation check is now its own early return. - The estimate loops read `analyzed.<window>.percent` three or four times per iteration; each window's percentage is read once at the top of the loop. - The estimate's link to the Logs page was a literal `#logs`, which reads as an in-page anchor with no target. It is a hash route, so it is now built from the `Page` route name. No behaviour change. React Doctor reports no issues on the changed scope. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Ten more commits landed on dev (lidge-jun#7010, lidge-jun#7011). The merge is automatic and none of them touch gui/, src/oauth/, src/providers/ or src/server/management/, the areas this branch changes. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

The three original objections and the later structured-unavailable counterexample are addressed in the inspected source:
- stale onlyAccountId is validated against the actual roster before deciding force-all;
- quotaOutcomeRef records both generation and success/failure, including HTTP200/quotaUnavailable and failed reads; a superseded caller only joins a newer successful outcome. The four overlap cases include the later-failure-after-success control and assert selection, membership and last-good/unavailable state;
- removal confirmation is bound during render to API base plus provider identity.
I am withdrawing my two old change requests for these specific corrected defects, not approving the full PR or supplying sponsorship. The earlier reproduced failure belongs to d4112b3, not the corrected head. Your 48-case/3318-GUI receipts are author-reported; I have not independently rerun them, validated the new screenshots/CSS in a browser, or completed the OAuth/management boundary review. Foreign Cargo/rustc workloads currently prevent a local test run under our serial-validation rule.
Current Cross-platform CI 38314609175 is action_required. Current dev is 3bb7a56; this branch is 4 commits behind and the current hygiene hold remains unsponsored_surface. Keep Draft pending independent boundary review/current CI and owner UI acceptance; resolving my specific correctness objections does not waive those gates.
Specific correctness objection addressed in current source and focused regression changes; see new exact-head scoped review. Not whole-PR approval, independent execution or boundary/sponsorship sign-off.

@Ingwannu Thank you for re-inspecting The three remaining gates are clear, and none of them is mine to close: the independent OAuth/management boundary review, current-head CI, and owner UI acceptance. The PR stays in Draft until then. The ready-for-review toggle at 23:35Z was premature; the gate restored Draft and I will leave it there. To keep your inspected SHA and the pending CI run valid, I am not pushing to this branch. It is 4 commits behind Codex started a review of |
Summary
Unifies three overlapping provider-workspace PRs into one: #4560 (accounts workspace redesign), #5068 (pool-workspace follow-up) and #5069 (reset-first rotation and pool strategy controls). Supersedes all three.
pool.kernel. The CLI is unchanged and still restrictsreset-firstto OpenAI, so the CLI reference needs no edit; the generic strategy is reachable from the dashboard and/api/pool/settings.What changed at this head (2db9838)
The branch is merged onto
devbf57900. It had been 982 commits behind and conflicted in 12 files; the earlier automated "rebased" comments on this PR were wrong, no rebase had completed, and the previous head did not compile.useProviderAccountPoolsnow keeps the latest quota outcome next to its generation. A superseded refresh joins a newer request only when that newer outcome is a success; a newer HTTP 200 withquotaUnavailable, a thrown quota read and a failed roster read all make the stale caller returnfalse. The newer request's membership, selection, last-good readings and unavailable flags are applied as before.onlyAccountId: an id that matches no account forces every account (src/providers/quota.ts), covered bya stale scoped id falls back to force-all.a removal confirmation does not follow the panel to another provider|server./api/pool/settingsnow reportsinertfor the generic kind (already optional in the CLI's pool schema and its documented shape); the toolbar disables the selector and labels it "Saved, not live" whilepool.kernelis off. Kiro's CLI-onlyleast-loadedis shown as stored and can no longer be overwritten by toggling the pool.docs/pr-assetsis removed from the branch (repo-hygienerejects it).Two upstream GUI tests are adapted to the card DOM without weakening their assertions (
anthropic2-provider-surfaces.test.tsx: card selectors, removal confirmed in the dialog, and the provider-agnostic/api/logstoken-estimate read exempted from "every request names anthropic2"). The unified pool-settings contract test pinsinertas generic-only.Verification

src/oauth/andsrc/server/management/oauth-account-routes.tsare sponsored surfaces. What this PR changes there: the generic strategy parser acceptsreset-first, the quota-rank helper, theaccountIdpass-through on the accounts route (a forced read can target one account), and the generic-onlyinertfield. Outside those paths,src/providers/quota-key-accounts.tsraises the per-roster quota probe workers from 4 to 10. No server-side token, credential or session handling is changed; the Cockpit Tools import in the dashboard uses the existing import route.Screenshots
Fixture renders of the Accounts tab (tree of b23cf5d; the later commits do not change the rendering). Every account, address and number is invented; nothing was read from a live proxy.
