fix: remove VERSION from upgrade auxiliary file downloads - #26

The repo has no VERSION file, causing a 404 warning on every upgrade. The version is already embedded in the binary via ldflags so downloading a separate VERSION file serves no purpose. Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>
