Next tab / Previous tab (Ctrl+PageDown / Ctrl+PageUp) always move through the editor's tabs, whichever region has the keys. From the Explorer they're offered in the palette and act on the editor behind you.
Rather than hiding them there, they could do the obvious thing: while the keys are in the sidebar, step between its panes — Explorer, Find, Review — the way they step between editor tabs. #284 deliberately leaves them Global and unchanged.
Worth settling in the pitch:
- Whether the sidebar's panes are "tabs" for this purpose, or whether this wants its own command.
- What happens at the ends: wrap, as the editor's tabs do, or stop.
- Whether the tab strip (
Ctrl+Esc) counts as the sidebar or the editor.
