Live testing of full systems now uses the standard Bittensor pattern, with no gateway in between.

  • chain/synapse.py: SystemTask synapse carrying system, round_index, task_ref, prompt and inputs out, and the signed trace (or a failure) back.
  • Miner, mt miner host --escalation-url URL [--port 8091] [--external-ip] [--external-port]:
    • serves the system on a bt.Axon and registers its IP and port on chain with axon.serve(netuid, subtensor);
    • the blacklist refuses any caller that isn't a validator with a permit in the metagraph (refreshed every five minutes), and priority follows the caller's stake;
    • the forward function runs the system and returns its signed trace.
  • Validator: AxonSystemClient reads the miner's axon IP and port from the metagraph and calls it with dendrite.query, signed by the validator's wallet. A miner with no registered axon scores zero, and validators no longer need gateway credentials for live tests.
  • Docs: the miner guide, playbook, miner setup and rollout runbook describe the axon, the open port and NAT flags. Inference miners serving customers are unchanged and still dial out to the gateway.
