Description
Initial Checks
- I confirm that I'm using the latest version of MCP Python SDK
- I confirm that I searched for my issue in https://github.com/modelcontextprotocol/python-sdk/issues before opening this issue
Description
I used the following URL code, but a warning message appeared in MCP 1.13.1 version
https://github.com/modelcontextprotocol/python-sdk/blob/main/examples/servers/simple-streamablehttp-stateless/mcp_simple_streamablehttp_stateless/server.py
The warning message is as follows:

This error occurred when there was a client connection after the service was running normally
LidiYuan commentedon Aug 22, 2025
I traced this issue to the modification of the
mcp/server/streamable_http_manager.pyfile in version 1.12.0, where a piece of code was added at line 194Due to the addition of the above code, a problem has occurred. How can I solve it? Is it because I wrote the code incorrectly
akolotov commentedon Aug 27, 2025
The same issue. As a workaround I have set
json_response=Falseso farmaxisbey commentedon May 18, 2026
Fixed by #1384 — the message router now downgrades
ClosedResourceErrorto a debug-level log when the session has already terminated, so this no longer surfaces as error noise. Duplicate of #1363.AI Disclaimer
