X3 exposed duplicate doors, hunter floor clipping, factory parallax errors and incomplete fortress/boss framing in widescreen. These fixes retain original collision, damage, scripts and progression. The prepared door approaches also restore original resident graphics: missing-asset animation garble was reproduced as a QA setup defect in unmodified Snes9x.
Game 3a0e9bd pins engine 819e2e1. Current build d897f993 anchors the final-stage entrance inside its authored room through internal width 512, keeping guest camera/OAM unchanged and HUD/dialogue centered. Widths above 512 still use the previous centered policy and remain an open camera issue. Engine dependency: RetroPortingToolKit/snesrecomp#218
Qualification includes native256/default,342/default and 684/interpreter, real assisted boss hits/progression, both Lab2 branches, all eight native hub-pad rematches, full-image/WRAM/VRAM comparisons, current save/load/capture/restart, and independent original static-art references. Current Mac capture/Zero control/X rescue and fresh naturally earned Zero-loss propagation through the alternate finale pass all three widths. Each current ending replay preserves all presented pixels and 128 KiB WRAM. Connecting travel/ascent and the automated Kaiser finishing-hit prerequisite are explicitly bypassed; the owner separately confirms the actual charged-shot kill. Historical evidence keeps its own source/binary identity.
Owner acceptance covers Byte, doors, factory, no duplicate Kaiser head, actual Kaiser finishing hit and the16:9 entrance anchor. Current Bit landing, real assisted hit, native departure, door crossing and control return pass automation; the owner also accepts corrected floor appearance. Remaining work: very-wide anchoring, uncovered stage/sublevel/branch/exit travel, independent original-game music/SFX and broader engine consumer qualification/final merge handoff. X2 v0.1.5 is separately released; this PR remains draft and unmerged.
Current coverage and limitations: docs/widescreen-trigger-audit.json (current_status is authoritative). Raw evidence: G:/Temp/Codex/mmx23-trigger-audit-20261026/burndown/earned-loss-fresh-finale-qualification.json and bit-current-qualification-milestone.json.
