spend data and reported throughput: use hasReportedTraffic from openaiThroughput

Keep selected-bar details readable.
When a selected-day summary exceeds the chart width, these rules replace the remaining text with an ellipsis. The spend chart provides no way to reveal that hidden text. Allow the summary to wrap so users can read the full selected-day details.

Summary
Ports the OpenAI API card's Live · Spend chart switch and the inspectable Tokens/min chart from upstream CodexBar v0.75.0 (steipete#4495, commit 5a40ac4:
ProviderMenuChartContent.swift,MenuUsageBarStrip.swift,ProviderThroughputSection.swift). It reuses data the card already receives (throughputandopenAiApiUsageonProviderUsageSnapshot) and adds no new fetches or bridge commands. The change is frontend plus locale data:rust/src/locale.rsand the 10.ftlfiles gain the new keys (the locale enum lives in the Rust crate, so this is not a frontend-only diff), but no Rust behavior changes.Switch.
OpenAILiveSpendChartreplaces the plain Tokens/min grid on the card. The Live / Spend switch only appears when the snapshot has both a Tokens/min window and at least one day of OpenAI API usage history, as upstream does. Otherwise the card shows the Tokens/min grid exactly as before, and the per-day API chart stays out of a card that has no throughput.Keyboard and screen readers. The switch is two plain toggle buttons with
aria-pressedinside a labelled group: both stay in the tab order and activate with Space/Enter, so there is no radiogroup that would owe roving tabindex and arrow-key handling.Default and persistence. Live is the default. The choice is stored per provider in
localStorage["codexbar.providerMenuChartModes"](a{ providerId: mode }map, the same shape as upstream'sproviderMenuChartModesuser default). A missing, unknown or malformed value falls back to Live.Fixed height. Both layers stay mounted in one CSS grid cell. The inactive layer is
visibility: hiddenandaria-hidden, so switching modes does not resize the card or the tray panel. The hidden layer also drops out of hit testing and the tab order.Spend layer. Title "Daily spend · Last N days" (N =
historyDays). One bar per UTC day, scaled bycostUsd.Inspection. The new
charts/ScrubBarStripreplaces the static SVG in both charts. Hovering or dragging (with pointer capture, so a drag keeps scrubbing past the edge) selects the bar under the pointer, and the selected bar gets an outline. A summary line under the chart shows that bar's details:09:41 AM · 12K tokens · 4 requests, or09:41 AM · reporting…for a pending minute2026-05-24: $3.75 · 712.5K tokensThe line keeps its height while empty. The selection clears on pointer leave (unless dragging), on blur, on Escape, when a touch or pen lifts, and when a mouse drag is released outside the strip. When a refresh moves the selected minute out of the window, the selection is dropped. The selection is keyed by the bar's start time, so it stays on the same minute or day across refreshes. Keyboard: Left/Right/Home/End step through the bars.
The Settings > Providers > OpenAI > Live Usage chart gets the same inspection, because it uses the same component.
formatUsd/dayLabelmove fromOpenAIApiUsageChart.tsxinto the newlib/openaiSpend.ts. Their behavior is unchanged.Locale keys
OpenAiChartModeLabel,OpenAiChartModeLive,OpenAiChartModeSpend,OpenAiTpmHoverMinute,OpenAiTpmReporting,OpenAiSpendChartTitleandOpenAiSpendHoverDayare added to all 10.ftlfiles,locale.rsandkeyGroups/core.ts.The proof fixtures add
openaiapito the proof catalog (the same line as Add OpenAI Tokens/min tray metric #925, so the two PRs merge cleanly) and a syntheticopenai-live-spendscenario: 60 minutes with the last two pending, and 30 days of spend. Not ported: upstream's limit-line action hookup and the macOS menu highlight colors (no Windows equivalent). Upstream's limit line is already Live-only here, because it lives inside the Tokens/min layer, and the card passes no limits, as before.

No shell behavior changed; the shell test suite was not rerun. The locale tests run in the frontend suite through the i18n harness, and the Rust placeholder-parity test passed in the crate suite on the same locale data in Add OpenAI Tokens/min tray metric #925.pnpm test: 146 files, 1384 tests passed. Tests cover hover, drag past the edge, release inside vs. outside the strip, keyboard stepping, a selection dropped on refresh, the switch shown only when both charts have points,aria-pressedtoggling on plain buttons, the default Live mode, persistence, and the unknown/malformed fallback.pnpm run build: OKpnpm proof:check(Chromium, mocked IPC): 13/13 passedThe
tray-openai-live-spendscenario (Chromium, mocked IPC) runs these steps. The proof browser profile keeps localStorage between runs, so the scenario first clicks Live to start from a known mode instead of assuming the default:aria-hidden.In the screenshots (

This change only touches webview content (tray panel card content and locale strings): there are no window, chrome, tray icon or theme changes, so the browser proof above covers it under the repo's proof rules. Optional native follow-up on a fresh desktop build with a seeded OpenAI API snapshot: hover and drag the card chart in WebView2, and switch Live/Spend to confirm that the flyout height does not change.
