Simple React Boilerplate is the project to help you get started quickly with React development.

It includes essential configurations and dependencies to create a React application.

This project is best suited for beginners who want to learn React as well as for developers who want a quick setup for their React projects.

It contains a stack of popular tools and libraries including React, Redux, Webpack, Babel, TypeScript, TailwindCSS, PostCSS and ESLint.

  • public/: Contains the public assets and the main HTML file.
  • index.html: The main HTML file for the React application.

Getting Started

Prerequisites

Make sure you have the following installed on your machine:

  • Node.js (v14 or later)
  • npm or yarn
  • Git (optional, for version control)

Installation

  1. Clone the repository:
git clone git@github.com:nikitahl/simple-react-boilerplate.git
  1. Navigate to the project directory:
cd simple-react-boilerplate
  1. Install the dependencies:

Using npm:

npm install

Using yarn:

yarn install
  1. Start the development server:

Using npm:

npm run start

Using yarn:

yarn start
  1. Open your browser and navigate to http://localhost:8080 to see the application running.
  2. You can now start building your React application!

Customization

  • Modify the App.js file to change the main component.
  • Add new components in the src/components/ directory.
  • Update the index.css file to change the styling.
  • Update the webpack.config.js file to customize the Webpack configuration.
  • Update the babel.config.js file to customize the Babel configuration.
  • Update the postcss.config.js file to customize the PostCSS configuration.
  • Update the tailwind.config.js file to customize the Tailwind CSS configuration.
  • Update the tsconfig.json file to customize the TypeScript configuration.
  • Update the eslint.config.js file to customize the ESLint configuration.
  • Add additional dependencies as needed using npm or yarn.
