Leave the text of a closed off-canvas panel out of the description - #1349
A closed off-canvas drawer is usually a fixed panel moved out of the viewport with a transform (transform: translateX(-110%)). observe() correctly left its controls out, but kept its text: text outside the viewport is kept on purpose, because scrolling can bring it in. So a closed filter drawer was described as page content ("Category / All / Outdoor / ... / Apply filters"), and an agent asked "Is the filters panel open?" answered yes.
Text outside the viewport is now hidden when its nearest viewport-fixed panel is itself entirely outside the viewport. Fixed elements positioned against a containing ancestor (for example, one with a transform) can scroll into view, so their text stays in the description. The panel check crosses shadow roots through their hosts. A fixed element without a box (a zero-size portal root) says nothing about where its content is, so it doesn't count. Text below the fold, text inside a fixed panel that is on screen but scrolled, and text clipped by overflow: hidden are kept as before.
tests/browser/test_dom_hidden_content.py: a closed drawer's text is left out, and text scrolled inside an on-screen fixed panel is kept. The first case fails on main.
tests/browser/test_dom_offscreen_controls.py:
FIXED_BELOW and IN_FIXED_PANEL (fixed elements below the viewport) are no longer in the description. They can never be seen.
The SHIFTED_OUT_OF_ITS_PANEL case had its fixed panel entirely off-screen (left: 1300px in a 1280 px viewport), so it now passed for the wrong reason. The panel moved to left: 900px, so the case again checks what its comment says (an auto box clips the axis it does not scroll on). It passes on main too.
Regression tests also cover fixed text inside transformed, filtered, and layout-contained ancestors, including shadow roots, before and after scrolling it into view. Closed drawer text inside nested shadow roots stays hidden until the drawer opens.
No golden or characterization snapshot changes. Full offline suite passed before the last rebase on main; on this head, tests/browser, the golden and characterization suites, pre-commit and basedpyright pass.
Bench
The bench ran before the last rebase, on a local build of feat-session-act with the coverage tasks and all the observe fixes of this series merged (one build; each task below exercises one fix). Base is the same build without the fixes. Jev, 2 runs each, base and head back to back, concurrency 2, load average 28–40 on a shared machine.

Summary by CodeRabbit
Bug Fixes
Page descriptions now exclude text in fixed panels that remain outside the viewport, including translated drawers and content inside shadow roots or slotted elements.
Text in scrollable fixed panels remains included, even when nested in scrolling containers or shadow roots. Empty fixed roots do not hide their content, and text is included when a panel is moved into view.

Walkthrough
The DOM builder now checks whether off-screen text is inside an off-screen fixed panel. The check traverses composed ancestors, including assigned slots and shadow hosts, and skips fixed ancestors with an offset parent or a zero-size box. Browser tests cover off-screen drawers, scrollable fixed panels, shadow roots, slotted content, and scrolling containing blocks. The off-screen controls test also updates its description and panel position.
No actionable merge-blocking issue is established for the fixed-panel text change; it is ready for normal merge checks.

### Issue 1
packages/notte-browser/src/notte_browser/js/buildDomNode.js:767
Inside a zero-size viewport-fixed portal, consider a static `overflow: auto` box containing a `display: contents; position: absolute` wrapper, with normal-flow text below the current scroll position. This line makes the boxless wrapper the `owner`. Then `scrollMovesText` rejects the real scroll box because the wrapper's `offsetParent` does not identify that scroller. The description drops text that scrolling reveals.
Skip boxless elements when choosing the positioned owner, including when initializing it.

Summary
The PR leaves closed fixed drawers out of page descriptions while preserving text that scrolling can reveal.
Page descriptions leave unreachable fixed-panel text out.
All five previous threads are unnumbered, so they receive no ledger entries. Their reported cases are addressed by the current code. Three threads were manually resolved without explanatory replies.
Text outside the viewport was kept, so a closed drawer (a fixed panel moved out with a
transform) was described with its whole content, as if it were on the page. Scrolling the
page never brings a fixed panel in: its text is now hidden like other hidden content.

Start fixed-panel traversal from the text node’s assigned slot.
buildDomTree processes the host’s regular light-DOM children, so a direct text child reaches isTextNodeHidden. The text branch has no slot-specific exclusion. It starts the fixed-panel walk at textNode.parentElement, which is the light-DOM host. The walk cannot enter the host’s shadow root, so it misses the off-screen fixed panel and keeps the text in the description.
Use the text node’s assigned slot first. Element-wrapped slotted text keeps the existing parent traversal.

Fixed the independent zero-size portal boundary and direct slotted-text traversal in f556306. Three regressions failed before the fix. Afterward 26 hidden/shadow/clobbering tests passed; final hidden-content suite 17 passed, pinned hooks/type checks and JavaScript syntax passed. The failed README block also passed against us-staging.notte.cc with retries disabled; the CI log showed an upstream Cloudflare 502 from page/scrape. Current-head CI and refreshed reviews remain pending.
Fixed the positioned-text portal finding in 3e4f9ef. Reachable bounds expand only through scroll boxes that move the text's positioned ancestor and its actual containing block, including composed ancestors. Wrapped text retains that positioning identity; fixed content inside a transformed scroller remains reachable. Both escaping-absolute-text regressions failed before; all 32 related browser tests passed after, including actual before/after scroll geometry. Pinned commit hooks/type checks, JavaScript syntax, and diff checks passed. The finding is resolved. Current-head CI and refreshed reviews remain pending.

Fixed the boxless positioned-owner finding in e216b68. Elements with no client rects do not establish the positioned owner, including the initial text parent. The viewport visibility check also uses the existing rendered-box helper for display:contents parents. Both direct and wrapped text regressions failed before; all 85 related browser and DOM characterization tests passed after, with pinned hooks/type checks, JavaScript syntax, and Python 3.11 syntax checks passing.
The addressed thread is resolved. Main remains unchanged. Current-head CI and review verification remain pending. The five-round Greploop limit has been reached, so no additional manual Greptile review was requested for this commit; its prior result does not verify the new head.
