Show a listbox button's selected option as its value, not in its name - #1355
The collapsible dropdown listbox pattern labels its button by the visible label and by the button itself: aria-labelledby="label button", where the button's text is the selected option. The accessible name was then "Shipping speed Standard (5-7 days)", one string with no value. Asked "which speed is selected?", an agent answered "None".
A button with aria-haspopup="listbox" that is labelled by a label and by itself is now named by the label alone ("Shipping speed"). Its text goes to the element state as its value ("Standard (5-7 days)"), as the selected option of a <select> does. Buttons labelled only by themselves, and buttons that don't open a listbox, are named as before.
tests/browser/test_accessible_names.py: the listbox button's name is its label and its value is the option. A listbox button labelled by itself alone, and an ordinary self-labelled button, keep their names. Fails on main.
No golden or characterization snapshot changes. Full offline suite passed before the last rebase on main; on this head, tests/browser, the golden and characterization suites, pre-commit and basedpyright pass.
Bench
The bench ran before the last rebase, on a local build of feat-session-act with the coverage tasks and all the observe fixes of this series merged (one build; each task below exercises one fix). Base is the same build without the fixes. Jev, 2 runs each, base and head back to back, concurrency 2, load average 28–40 on a shared machine.

Summary by CodeRabbit
Accessibility
Listbox buttons expose their displayed selection as live state, while their accessible names exclude the selected value.
Selection text excludes hidden content and is read within defined size limits; values may be truncated, with a digest available for change detection.
Documentation
ElementState reference now describes slider and spin-button values, mixed toggle-button state, and sort state for sorted column headers and their controls.
Qualifying listbox buttons now expose their displayed selection as a live state value, separate from their accessible name. The DOM reader traverses rendered content, including slots, and applies node and text limits. It marks values as truncated and provides a digest when the display limit or a traversal limit is reached. Documentation and browser tests cover the value behavior, accessible-name handling, and related element-state fields.
The current value-reading behavior remains bounded, but a future change could disable part of its regression test unnoticed. This is mergeable with a small test fix or follow-up.

descendant traversal in textAlternative and contentText. Keep slot traversal,
whitespace normalization, and hidden-content handling unchanged so aria-label

Fixed SVG selection loss in ad0fb0d. The dedicated value reader includes visible SVG text/tspan content and excludes title/desc/defs/metadata. Both SVG regressions failed before; 50 accessibility, element-state, and clobbering browser tests passed after. Pinned commit hooks (including typing), JavaScript syntax, and diff checks passed. Full-selection digests are preserved. The separate fixed-traversal-budget security thread remains open pending the owner's contract decision. Current-head CI and final reviews remain pending.

The collapsible listbox pattern labels its button by the label and by the button itself,
whose text is the selected option, so the name read "Shipping speed Standard (5-7 days)".
Such a button is now named by its label, and its text is its value in the element state.

Assert that the nodeTypeOf source anchor exists before relying on .replace.
If the anchor changes, the second replacement silently fails. The built-in MAX_LISTBOX_VALUE_NODES cap still limits the current traversal, but the probe no longer checks its separate 2,048-call nodeTypeOf budget. The remaining assertions can still pass.

In the test probe that replaces the `nodeTypeOf` source anchor in `DOM_TREE_JS`,
assert that the anchor exists before calling `.replace`. Reuse the same anchor
value for the replacement so the test fails clearly if the source changes.
