I've tried my hand at updating pixplot to work with python 3.10: https://github.com/XLabCU/pix-plot/tree/master, with minimal interventions. Mostly sorting out dependencies etc. I've got it working on my mac mini m1. Haven't had an opportunity to test elsewhere.
