Summary

  • Add a row of three charts under the exposure time strip:
    • Transmission and system response: detector + optics, filter, atmosphere, and their product.
    • Sky radiance (log axis), with the part the detector records.
    • Star (log axis), with the part the detector records.
  • The charts follow the chosen instrument, water vapour, airmass, temperature and distance.
  • Add a toggle that switches all charts between the filter band and the full 0.3–3 µm range.
  • Add a link that downloads all eight curves as CSV, at every 1 nm point.
  • Below 1024 px, show one chart at a time, picked with tabs.
  • Read the curves from the grid pickle files the page already downloads, so there is no extra download. The new source CSVs are not deployed.
  • Scale the star curve to the model's star rate, so it also matches in Gaia mode.
  • Remove the old System response card, renderResponse/updateResponse, and the Python function response_curves.
  • Draw each chart at the width of its column, and use round tick steps on the x axis.
  • Always show the model values table, without the values that repeat a control.
  • Make the dark-mode --series-5 token darker (#b8891f), so it passes the palette check.
  • web/build.py: use uv build when pip is missing, so uv run web/build.py works.
  • Update web/README.md.

Testing

  • The sky curve matches the model's sky value exactly at a grid node, and to within about 1% between nodes.
  • The star scale factor is 1.000 in model mode.
  • Checked in headless Chromium:
    • at 1440, 1280, 1024, 900 and 390 px, in light and dark mode;
    • all three presets, the u filter, Gaia mode and the CSV download.
  • No console errors and no horizontal scroll.
  • The uv wheel has the same files as the pip wheel.
  • pytest: 17 passed.

- Changed the color of series-5 in CSS from #c99a2e to #b8891f for better contrast.
- Added new section for displaying transmission, sky, and star spectra with responsive controls.
- Implemented radio buttons for selecting wavelength range and plot tabs for switching between charts.
- Enhanced chart rendering logic to accommodate responsive design and dynamic data updates.
- Removed the old system response card and integrated its functionality into the new spectra section.
- Updated the backend logic to cache curve frames and optimize data retrieval for spectra calculations.
- Improved user experience by adding hints and adjusting layout for better readability on smaller screens.
