Merge Verdict

[APPROVE]

Incremental review found no remaining material issue in the three new feature commits. The earlier dictation and Word fixes remain included. Local checks below pass; GitHub Actions must still complete on the pushed revision.

Summary

  • Dictation uses inline feedback, accepts explicit Send while listening, includes the final transcript once and preserves drafts after cancellation or editor changes. Word rewrites retain actionable setup guidance; new files use Untitled.
  • The app icon now uses a monochrome abstract mark derived from the existing theme, with light/dark favicons and maskable PWA assets. Request stages and streaming replies have lightweight activity animations that respect reduced motion and stop on completion, cancellation or disposal.
  • Eight READMEs present Experimental Beta AI features, a shared brand mark and four richer English demos. The replacement videos retain continuous normal-speed actions and waits; the local Qwen3 4B model is loaded before filming.

Risk Analysis

Risk Level Mitigation
Late speech events or changed editor context could send unintended text Medium Bounded finalization, cancellation and editor-context guards preserve drafts; voice results never send automatically when recognition ends.
Small local models can misunderstand requests or produce inaccurate edits Medium Existing validation, review, readback and undo remain enforced. Documentation retains Experimental Beta limitations; these successful demos are not production-model acceptance.
Activity indicators or icon variants could behave differently by theme or accessibility preference Low Motion uses CSS only, reduced motion disables animation, review is a resting state, and light/dark/offline icon and editor theme behavior was tested.

Design Decisions

  • Three independent commits separate branding, chat activity feedback and demo/documentation updates; existing history is preserved.
  • Shared chat UI follows host-reported phases without exposing fabricated reasoning or adding animation timers, dependencies or editor coupling.
  • Monochrome SVG sources reuse resolved theme colors. PNG exports match those sources; the maskable foreground fits inside the platform safe circle.
  • Videos use fictional content and actual native editor outcomes. They demonstrate Word writing and summary review; Excel fill, sum and sort; PowerPoint creation and duplication; and PDF reading plus cancelled note review. PDF body rewriting and scanned-page OCR are not claimed.
  • Local MP4s, posters and English captions are included as requested, with public GitHub attachment links for playback. Personal paths, credentials, model weights, raw captures, temporary profiles and private repository code are excluded.

Code Concerns

None remaining in the incremental review. Host activity consumers, lifecycle cleanup, theme icon references and all README media links were checked.

Verification

Conclusion basis: Verified locally on the final source and media. Native demo outcomes were read back while recording. Live microphone transcription accuracy is not covered; browser speech-event regression uses simulated recognition.

  • pnpm run test:coverage: 5,110 tests in 172 files passed; 91.44% line coverage.
  • pnpm run lint:ts and pnpm run format:check: passed; 1,511 immutable evaluation artifacts remain unchanged.
  • Playwright theme presentation and composer UX: 14 tests passed, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF editable next drafts, historical focus, light/dark editor presentation, theme switching and offline favicon assets.
  • Actual Chromium animation checks passed for waiting, reading, planning, streaming, review, Stop, reduced motion, narrow layouts, locale refresh and disposal.
  • Seven PNG exports match their SVG sources. The maskable mark radius is below the 204.8 px safe radius at 512 px. Small favicon and circular-mask previews were visually checked.
  • Four replacement MP4s fully decode as silent H.264/yuv420p, 1440 × 972, 25 fps, fast-start files. Captions fit their complete timelines. Durations are 103.12, 98.60, 103.20 and 129.40 seconds; each file is below 1.7 MB.
  • All four public attachments play without authentication at playback rate 1. Changed PR files and MP4 metadata passed privacy scanning; all three new commits use the public GitHub noreply identity.

English Demos

Experimental Beta. Continuous normal-speed walkthroughs with actual waiting and time to read results. Model loading happens before recording; response time varies by device and model.
