Random Projects

Sidebar: I genuinely could not find the words to put together as I would best describe this project, so ChatGPT came to the rescue. Please don't just the grammar or certain out of context words used, I will re-write it when I have the mental capacity to do so

Welcome to Random Projects — a collection of small applications, experiments, utilities, and ideas that I've worked on over time.

The purpose of this repository is simple: if something here is useful to you, feel free to use it, learn from it, modify it, or build upon it.

About This Repository

This repository contains various independent projects and code samples. Some projects may be complete, while others may be experimental, unfinished, or created to explore a particular idea or technology.

There are no restrictions on how you use the code contained within this repository. You are welcome to:

  • Use the projects for personal or commercial purposes
  • Study and learn from the source code
  • Modify existing projects
  • Improve functionality or fix bugs
  • Build new features on top of existing projects
  • Use parts of the code in your own projects

Contributing

Contributions are welcome!

If you find something that could be improved, have an idea for a new feature, or simply want to experiment with one of the projects, you are encouraged to contribute.

To keep the main branch stable and ensure that changes are properly reviewed, all contributions should follow the feature branch and pull request workflow.

Contribution Workflow

1. Create a Feature Branch

Create your own branch from main for the work you want to perform.

git checkout main
git pull
git checkout -b feature/your-feature-name

2. Make Your Changes

Work on the project as you see fit. You are free to modify existing functionality, fix bugs, improve code, or introduce new features.

3. Commit Your Changes

git add .
git commit -m "Add your change description"

4. Push Your Feature Branch

git push origin feature/your-feature-name

5. Create a Pull Request

Open a Pull Request from your feature branch into main.

6. Code Review

The changes will be reviewed by the relevant branch owner or repository administrator.

7. Merge

Once the changes have been reviewed and approved, the branch owner or repository administrator will merge the Pull Request into main.

Main Branch Protection

The main branch is protected.

Contributors must not merge directly into main. All changes intended for main must go through a Pull Request and receive the required approval before being merged.

This allows contributors to work independently while keeping the main branch stable and ensuring that changes are reviewed before becoming part of the primary codebase.

Branches

Contributors are encouraged to create descriptive branches based on the type of work being performed.

Examples:

feature/new-login
feature/customer-dashboard
bugfix/api-validation
bugfix/database-connection
improvement/error-handling
experiment/new-framework

Please avoid committing experimental or incomplete work directly to main.

Ideas & Improvements

If you have an idea for improving one of the projects, feel free to implement it in your own feature branch and submit a Pull Request.

You don't need to wait for permission to experiment with the code. Fork it, branch it, build it, and submit your improvements for review.

Usage

Unless otherwise stated within an individual project, the code in this repository is available for unrestricted use.

Individual projects may contain their own dependencies, third-party libraries, or licensing requirements. Where applicable, those requirements should be respected independently of this repository.

Disclaimer

The projects contained within this repository are provided as-is.

Some applications may be experimental, incomplete, or intended primarily for demonstration and learning purposes. Always review and test the code before using it in a production environment.

Happy Building 🚀

If you find something useful here, use it, improve it, and make it better.
