1secmail has shut down its API: every request now returns 403 Forbidden, so tmpmail can no longer create addresses or read mail.

This switches tmpmail to Guerrilla Mail by default, with mail.tm as an alternative (--provider mailtm or TMPMAIL_PROVIDER=mailtm). Neither needs an API key. Each address remembers which provider it was made with.

Other changes:

  • Messages are listed and opened by inbox number (tmpmail 1, 1 = newest), since neither provider uses 1secmail's numeric IDs
  • -g also accepts a bare username and picks a random domain for it
  • Attachments are downloaded to /tmp/tmpmail/attachments and linked from the email (both providers need a session to fetch them)
  • HTTP errors are reported instead of being passed to jq
  • README, man page and Dockerfile updated; shellcheck -s sh is clean

#83 takes a different route (emptyinbox.me). If this repo stays inactive, the fix is maintained at https://github.com/3-mmc/tmpmail.

1secmail shut down its API; every request returns 403, so tmpmail
could no longer create addresses or read mail. tmpmail now talks to
Guerrilla Mail by default, with mail.tm selectable via --provider or
TMPMAIL_PROVIDER. Each address remembers the provider it was made with.

Other changes:
- Messages are listed and opened by inbox number (1 = newest)
- -g accepts a bare username and picks a random domain for it
- Attachments are downloaded to /tmp/tmpmail/attachments and linked
- HTTP errors are reported instead of being fed to jq
- Dockerfile builds from the checked-out script; README, man page and
  CI updated for the fork

xclip was checked on every run, so tmpmail refused to start on systems
without it even though only --copy uses it. The check also ran before
--clipboard-cmd was parsed, so naming another clipboard tool could not
get past it. Check the clipboard command inside copy_email_to_clipboard
instead.
