REQ-6 of the 2026-10-10 family round (umbrella plan T5): the release job refuses a lightweight tag before anything is published.

  • release.yml: one step after actions/checkout in the release job; git cat-file -t \"$TAG\" must print tag, else ::error:: with the remedy and exit 1. Identical bytes across seven members.
  • Version 0.2.3 in every home; CHANGELOG entry; release docs updated where they list the workflow steps.
  • Plant (scratch repo, not committed): the step body extracted from this file → lightweight tag exit 1, annotated tag exit 0.
  • Local gate: npm test exit 0.

No skill, reference or installer change.

release.yml gains one step right after checkout in the release job:
git cat-file -t on the tag must print "tag", or the job fails with the
remedy before the reachability check, the gates and publish. The
2026-10-09 family wave cut four lightweight member tags that the
umbrella then read as each member's previous release (umbrella plan
2026-10-10, T5 / REQ-6). Version bumped in every home; CHANGELOG and
ledgers updated. No skill, reference or installer change.
