flake(studio): account quarantine test intermittently misses Bob thread IDs #2376

Open

Description

@jbeda

Failure

The Mecatl Studio (apps/) CI job intermittently fails in:

src/features/auth/auth-gate-account.test.tsx > quarantines every account-scoped caller after partial removal, including storage events

At apps/web/src/features/auth/auth-gate-account.test.tsx:452, immediately after clicking Write Bob data, the assertion expects threadIds: ["bob-thread"] but receives threadIds: []. The same rendered snapshot contains threads: { root: { sessionId: "bob-thread" } } and the other Bob account values.

Failing CI job at SHA 833d6df8e4bc254924bf3b0bc0389322b05467e1.

- "threadIds": ["bob-thread"],
+ "threadIds": [],
  "threads": {
    "root": { "sessionId": "bob-thread" }
  }

Flake evidence

The failure occurred on #2279, which changes only terminal-client Go code/tests
and keybindings documentation; the Studio code, tests, and dependencies are
unchanged from its main base.

  • The auth test file passed all 8 tests in 31 focused runs.
  • It also passed all 8 tests during a full web-suite run.
  • Root cause has not been established.
pnpm --dir apps/web exec vitest run src/features/auth/auth-gate-account.test.tsx
pnpm --dir apps/web test

Related general flake tracker: #2327.
