New Comment does nothing in the desktop app #12
Description
I'm using EdenText 0.9.0 (Linux AppImage) on Fedora 44, KDE Plasma/Wayland.
When I select some text and choose New Comment, nothing happens. This affects both the toolbar and the right-click menu.
Traced it to addComment() in src/App.svelte, which calls prompt(). Electron reports prompt() is not supported.

Thanks for the report and for tracing it to
prompt(), which was exactly the cause. Electron doesn't supportprompt(), so New Comment (and Insert Index Entry, which had the same problem) now opens its own dialog. The fix is in 7d5bc4f and shipped in v0.10.0. Please update and let me know when it anything is fine.farragoo commentedon Oct 18, 2026
Tested in 0.10.1 on Fedora KDE, and new comments work now. Thanks for fixing it so quickly!
