A generated IGES 5.3 assembly that places its parts through nested subfigure definitions (308) and instances (408), for testing how importers handle IGES instancing.

  • 23 planar-faced solids (186), placed through 3 levels of 308 definitions and 13 408 instances.
  • Rotations in transformation matrices (124), including a 120° turn about (1,1,0). Both ways a 408 places a definition are used: its X,Y,Z offset and the directory-entry matrix.
  • 81 KB. Made by scripts/generators/instanced_assembly_subfigures.py (writes IGES directly), which regenerates the file byte for byte. The README has the expected counts, volume and bounding box.

Checked against the generator's exact values in FreeCAD 1.1.4: 23 valid solids, exact volume and bounding box. Released under CC0-1.0; python3 scripts/check.py passes.

…bfigure instances

An IGES 5.3 assembly of five planar solids (186), each defined once and placed by
singular subfigure instances (408) through three levels of subfigure definitions
(308), with rotations in transformation matrices (124). Generated by
scripts/generators/instanced_assembly_subfigures.py; README gives check values.
