Summary

The CI runs on Node.js 26 as well as 22 and 24: the matrix of .github/workflows/ci.yml is now [22, 24, 26]. engines (>=22.22.1) already allows Node.js 26, so package.json does not change.

• README: says the CI runs the checks and the tests on Node.js 22, 24 and 26.
• CHANGELOG: a line in the 1.1.0 "Packaging and tooling" section. The 1.0.0 entry is left as it was, it is what 1.0.0 ran on.
• .nvmrc still has 24.

Checks

On Node.js 26.12.1, with the commands the workflow runs: yarn format:check, yarn lint, yarn typecheck, yarn build pass, and yarn test gives 275 passing and 1 todo, on React 19 and on React 18. The Node.js 26 job of this PR is the check on the runner.

Notes for review

• The open PRs feat: polygon tool (#96) #197 and feat: pinch zoom (#84) #198 run the matrix of the base branch, so they get the Node.js 26 job once this is merged into release/1.1.0 and their checks run again.
• master gets the change with the release PR (Release v1.1.0 #196).
