Summary

Add a new Renovate automerge rule for patch and digest updates across a curated set of Docker images. This enables automatic merging of non-breaking updates to streamline dependency management.

Changes

  • Added a new Renovate configuration rule that automatically merges patch, digest, and pinDigest updates for 9 Docker images:
    • cloudflare/cloudflared
    • ghcr.io/thundersquared/authentik
    • ghcr.io/tbphp/gpt-load
    • valkey/valkey
    • ghcr.io/thundersquared/twentycrm
    • ghcr.io/maathimself/mailflow-frontend
    • ghcr.io/maathimself/mailflow-backend
    • ghcr.io/tailscale/tailscale
    • ghcr.io/thundersquared/n8n
    • n8nio/runners

Implementation Details

  • The rule targets only patch, digest, and pinDigest update types, excluding minor and major version bumps
  • Includes a descriptive note warning against adding data stores or services with schema migrations on startup, as merges deploy directly to hosts without CI validation of the new image
  • Explicitly excludes headscale/headscale per its existing dedicated rule

Covers cloudflared, authentik, gpt-load, valkey, twentycrm, mailflow
frontend/backend, tailscale, n8n and n8n runners. Minor and major
updates still open a PR for review.
