Moves the changelog's Unreleased section to 0.6.0 and sets the version in
pyproject.tomland__version__.Publishing is triggered by a GitHub release, not by this merge, so cutting the release stays a separate deliberate step.
What 0.6.0 contains
SIGBREAKhandling and NSSM, WinSW and Task Scheduler examples (#31);get_queue_stats()andget_task_counts()for monitoring (#34);--task-pathfor the purge command and endpoint (#30);purge_completed_tasks()(#46); Simplified Chinese, Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish translations (#33); task path and priority filters in the admin (#29)GET /tasks/status/returns the queue stats alongsidepending_count(#34); the signal-driven tests are skipped on Windows, and CI runs on Windows (#27)TaskBroker.enqueue(), as 0.5 announced for this version (#56)RUNNING(#37); an invalid exit code option exited 1 with a traceback (#22); broker-path log records missing documented fields (#32); untranslated admin headers and command help (#28); Windows-only test failures (#27, #52)Existing projects need no changes, with one exception worth naming in the release notes: a broker written by hand against 0.4 that overrides
enqueue()instead ofnotify()is no longer called, and every task logsBroker X failed to notify about task Yat ERROR, while the task itself stays in the database for the worker and the HTTP endpoints. Such a broker has warned since 0.5. A project callingbackend.run_task()directly should also expectNonefor a task another worker claimed first. Settings, URLs, commands and their defaults are otherwise unchanged from 0.5.Checks
