Please continue using a consistent tagging scheme, compatible to the old release scheme

I package this project for Arch Linux.
I'm currently trying to switch from the old source location to this new one and noticed, that the versioning scheme has changed.

E.g. 2.10.0 is now only 2.10.
However, this is problematic, because 2.10.0 is considered newer than 2.10.
Switching from the old location is therefore not possible without introducing an epoch (i.e. a downgrade in packaging terms on Arch Linux).

In general, it would be appreciated to remain with the full semver spec in the future, as that would make integration for downstreams easy.
