Summary

  • Add explicit best_effort and strict annotation modes to schemas.
  • Add a read-only schema preview showing labels, colors, shortcuts, required fields, and annotation mode.
  • Automatically retain event drafts in session memory.
  • Add strict required-field conclusions through labelled spans or Confirm absent.
  • Add separate Skip for now and Unable to label workflows.
  • Return skipped events after untouched events have been reviewed.
  • Adapt the primary action to Done & next or Complete & next based on the schema mode.
  • Export annotation mode, event status, deferred state, unlabelable reasons, and three-valued field conclusions.
  • Fix required conclusions not refreshing when navigating between events.
  • Update the bundled schemas to demonstrate both annotation modes:
    • Customer Support uses strict mode.
    • Meeting Notes uses best-effort mode.

Testing

  • uv run pre-commit run --all-files
  • Ruff lint and formatting
  • mypy
  • Unit and export tests
  • Focused Chromium and Firefox tests covering:
    • Strict completion validation
    • Best-effort completion
    • Confirmed-absent fields
    • Skipping events
    • Unlabelable events
    • Schema preview
    • Resetting and restoring conclusions during navigation
  • git diff --check
