Ops: release v6.6.0 from current main #56

User (悟空非空也g) asked to 发版 for https://github.com/wukongnotnull/wukong-code. Base is current origin/main at 3b81a61 (includes tag v6.5.0 via merged PR #54, plus merged PR #55 grilling HANDOFF).

Searched first

• Open issues: Ops: release v6.5.0 from current main #53 is the previous cut (Ops: release v6.5.0). It is not this release. Grilling: track consensus on issues; write a separate technical spec #49 and Ops: clean leftover remote branches after merged PRs #50 / #51 #52 are unrelated (grilling-consensus tracking, branch cleanup). No open issue for a post-6.5.0 release.
• Closed issues: none about a 6.6.0 / post-6.5.0 version bump.
• PRs (open and closed): no open PRs. Prior version-bump PRs: Release v6.5.0 #54 (Release v6.5.0, merged), Release v6.4.0 #39 (Release v6.4.0, merged), docs: add Unreleased release-notes entry for #37–#45 #46 (Unreleased notes, merged), Release v6.2.1 #10 (v6.2.1), Release v6.2.0 #4 (v6.2.0). No duplicate in-flight release PR.

What landed after v6.5.0

git log v6.5.0..origin/main is only PR #55 (3b81a61, commits 1b3542e, 840317c):

• skills/grilling/SKILL.md HANDOFF writes a separate technical specification derived from the confirmed Shared-Understanding Record, then waits for spec-file review before writing-plans. The record is not the spec file.
• CLAUDE.md grilling section no longer overrides that skill HANDOFF. Issue/project tracking stays this repository's habit. AGENTS.md is the symlink.
• Eval notes under docs/wukong-code/evals/2026-10-13-grilling-derived-spec-handoff.md (and raw RED/GREEN notes) plus tests/skills/grilling-scenarios.md.

No other commits on main after v6.5.0.

Repo release path (same as #39 / #54)

1. Release PR targeting main.
2. bash scripts/bump-version.sh <new-version> against .version-bump.json.
3. Add ## vX.Y.Z (date) at the top of RELEASE-NOTES.md for only what landed. Update the README Product Design version line and the docs/prd.md current-version line (both were part of the Release v6.5.0 #54 diff).
4. Merge the PR to main if permitted.
5. Annotated git tag vX.Y.Z on the merge commit (v6.5.0 was tagged this way).
6. GitHub Release with the dated notes and no uploaded assets (v6.5.0 release has assets: []). npm: registry.npmjs.org/wukong-code is 404 as of this cut; no publish. Codex portal zip is maintainer-side (scripts/package-codex-plugin.sh), not attached to the v6.5.0 GitHub Release, so this cut does not build one.

Planned version

6.6.0 (minor). Manifests are 6.5.0. The only post-tag change is a user-visible grilling HANDOFF behavior change (feat in #55), plus the contributor-doc alignment in the same PR. Not 6.5.1: this is not a patch fix of a broken install or a docs-only typo. Not 7.0.0: no harness install incompatibility or removal. Skill behavior handoff is not treated as a major.

Decisions

• One focused release change: version bump, notes, README version line, PRD version line. No skill edits. No spec files.
• Notes describe only feat: grilling HANDOFF writes a derived technical spec #55's net result on main. Do not fabricate features.
• Board: https://github.com/users/wukongnotnull/projects/8. Status options verified as Todo, In Progress, Done. Items are added manually. Do not claim Auto-add.
