Hello! I've noticed some contradictions between the package metadata, CI, and the actual test coverage across Python versions.
In setup.py, the classifiers claim support only for Python 3.8. However, in the CI (.github/workflows/tests.yml) the matrix has python-version: [3.9], and in tox.ini the [testenv] does not specify basepython.
It seems that tox runs tests on the interpreter that invoked it, and it is invoked via actions/setup-python with version 3.9. So the entire CI check runs on Python 3.9, not 3.8.
Then it’s not entirely clear why the matrix uses only one version (maybe they intended to expand testing to different versions but forgot).
I could align the metadata with the actual testing and also add CI support for versions 3.10–3.14 :)
