fix(rules): judge unique-prefix push options and glob refspecs (#443) - #468
CryptoJones wants to merge 1 commit into
Conversation
git takes any unique prefix of a long option, so `git push --al origin` is `--all` and `--mirr` is `--mirror`; the push parser matched only the exact tokens and read them as a bare push of the checked-out branch. Push options now resolve by unique prefix over git push's long options via policy._long_prefixes. A refspec holding `*` (on the command line or in remote.<name>.push) is judged against every local ref its source matches, mapped to the destination, instead of a literal branch named `*`. Fails open to the literal destination when git cannot list refs. Closes #443 Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Include remote branches that --prune will delete.
If local main is absent but remote main exists, git push --prune origin 'refs/heads/*:refs/heads/*' can delete remote main. This lookup returns only destinations mapped from existing local refs, so _judge misses that deletion and allows the push under the public-main rule. Carry the --prune option into glob resolution and include affected remote destinations, as mirror resolution already does for deletions. (git-scm.com)

Apply negative refspecs to positive glob matches.
For git push origin 'refs/heads/*:refs/heads/*' '^refs/heads/main', Git excludes main from the push. This branch drops the exclusion, then _glob_branches includes local main. The public-main rule therefore denies a push that does not target main. Keep the negative source patterns and filter expanded refs before judging their destinations. Apply the same rule to configured push refspecs at src/omind/rules.py Lines 473–478. (git-scm.com)

Closes #443
Before this change, a push from a feature branch could reach
mainon a public repo in two ways the repo-scoped rule didn't catch._pushed_branchesnow maps each--opt[=v]token to its git push long option throughpolicy._long_prefixes. The option list comes fromgit push -h/ builtin/push.c. So--al,--b/--braand--m/--mirrare read as--all,--branchesand--mirror, and--taas--tags. An ambiguous prefix like--a(all/atomic) stays a plain flag, as git treats it.*now gives a new(glob):marker._judgeresolves it throughfact()with_glob_branches: it matches the source pattern against every local ref by full refname, substitutes the matched part into the destination, and stripsrefs/heads/.git push -n origin 'feature/*:feature/*'matches nothing, while'*:*'sendsmain.+prefix is stripped, and^(negative) refspecs are skipped.remote.<name>.pushglobs in_default_push_branchesare mapped the same way.DeadlineExceededErroris re-raised.BACKLOG.md moves #443 to Done (unreleased), and CHANGELOG.md gets an
[Unreleased]entry. I left the version bump for you.Verification
