Weeklys
In the week, i talked to my team about the idea to make the project, and then, we socialized it
The next step, is to organize the information about the problem in a document and the github
The obstacle is to syncronize the schedule of all the members because we have different classes
I did the previous searching of the Functional Requirements and the write it, and contribute to the specific funcionalities ideas to implement into the project
I am going to do the class diagram to understand the architecture of the system and finished the writing of the Functional requirements
The obstacle is that we are not sure of the scope of the project because there are several ideas to improve it
In the week, i shared the boostrap template that we started to work on
Im going to adapt the template with the django code to work on, and then, change each field that the team want
There is no obstacles yet
In the week, i worked on into the model of the database and try functionalities with a library called jazzmin to make the admin page beauty
Im going to work into the database model and started to create some functionalities in the shop interface, like show the products
There is no obstacles yet
In the week, i worked on the database model making it larger and specific
Im going to do the corrections into the database and the admin models and try the CRUD functionalities since the admin page
Sometimes organize the ideas of each member to create the database model is hard, but im going to listen each of them
In the week, i worked on the database model integrating all of it into the models and admin page
Im going to do the corrections into the database and work on the functionalities with the interface, like adding buttons
There is no obstacles
In the week, i worked with the interface functionalities once the database model is completed, like the function to show products and search it
Im going to do the corrections into the interface of each product to make it more atractive
There are no obstacles yet
In the week, I worked with the interface functionalities adding the categories template and vinculate it with the products filtering by each category
I'm going to correct some interface errors, like the language of the footer
There are no obstacles yet
I did some of the cart prototypes, for examples, ideas about it, or something like that
I am going to do the functions related to the cart that include the add to cart button and the display to see all of this.
There are no obstacles
I did some of the functions related to the cart, like: display the products that are added to the cart, and the add to cart button
I am going to try to add the edit quantity into the cart display to adjust it according of the user selection
The buttons and the function to display the cart with their functionalities had been very stressfull and hard to develop, but at least we did it
I did some of the other function support to my partners, like the add to wishlist button
I am going to see how can i implement some of graphics into the admin panel to develop it into the sprint 4
Maybe the way to develop it will be a little stressfull
I started to see some about the graphics to analize some of the functions of the page
I am going to try to start the implementation of at least one of the graphics
Implement this function sometimes is very difficult, so, i don´t know if it´s gonna be hard
I started to implement some of the functions about the graphics
I am going to continue in the develop of that function with other graphics
It´s a little difficult to look up after the functions of the views.py which i must improve to see other graphics
I almost finished the graphics implementation
I´m gonna finish the functions about the graphics
There was some problems about the develop in cloud, but at least everything can be alright
I polished the css styles in the graphics view
There is nothing that i will do because the project is already finished, except if i want to look for other functions by myself
There are no obstacles
During this week, I'm going to discuss and decide with my team the project idea. And learn a few about how to use Django and HTML
The only obstacle is that we are going to use Django to create the project and I don't know how to program in HTML
I did some research on Functional Requirements and provided functionalities for the project to be implemented. Also, I watched some videos about Django and HTML to understand better its use.
I completed the requirements statement and finish de workshop about Django that the teacher assign us in class.
Although I had some problems with the installation of some programs while doing the workshop the coding part was all perfect thanks to the videos I saw during the week
I tried to overtake most of the workshop part B as I could and also, work on the project with my team.
Try to finish part B of the workshop and learn more about how to use Django.
I have some problems so I wait till the class to ask the teacher for some help
I worked a lot on the project, especially on the requirements and the rest of the items.
Try to finish part B of the workshop and keep working on the project to have everything done for the first delivery.
I still have problems with part B so I'll talk with the monitor to see if he can help me to solve the problem.
Last week, I worked on expanding our database model, making it bigger and more specific.
I'll be fixing things in the database and admin models and trying out the CRUD functions on the admin page.
Sometimes, it's a bit tough to organize everyone's ideas for the database model, but I'll make sure to listen to everyone.
I continued working on the database model, making it more extensive and detailed.
Next week, I'm planning to make necessary corrections to the database and admin models and experiment with CRUD functions on the admin page.
Coordinating ideas with the team for the database model can be a bit tricky, but I'm committed to listening to everyone's input.
This past week, I shifted my focus to working on the user interface, especially after finishing the database model. I added features like product displays and search functionality.
In the upcoming week, I'll work on making the product interfaces more attractive and user-friendly.
Fortunately, there haven't been any major problems.
In Week 9, I concentrated on improving the user interface by adding a category template and connecting it to product filtering by category.
In the next week, I'll fix small interface issues, like the language used in the footer, to ensure a smooth user experience.
Thankfully, there haven't been any significant obstacles so far.
I worked on improving the website, giving a fresh look to the welcome section and product details.
In the upcoming phase, we are focusing on deals, the shopping cart, and wishlists. My role is to create offers for products with upcoming expiration dates.
So far, everything is going smoothly, and we haven't encountered any significant obstacles.
I created a prototype for soon-to-expire product offers, which are now visible on the main page and in the product section. It's looking good.
Next, I'll be working with the team to refine how we present this information and ensure it looks professional. This includes diagrams and maintaining our brand image.
Figuring out how to make those discounts appear was a bit challenging, but with some effort and creativity, we resolved it. No major issues at the moment.
As a team, we had a mentoring session with Professor Paola, where we clarified aspects of Deliverable 3, such as project goals based on analytics. The cart section turned out to be technically challenging, and I assisted my partner, Jonathan, in improving its performance.
I'm going to refine the views for products about to expire and make sure those discounts are displayed in the cart. Additionally, I'll attempt to implement the functionality for users to adjust quantities in the cart.
Making progress on all the proposed sections for Deliverable 3 is demanding, requires time and commitment from the entire team.
I focused on enhancing the wish list feature and actively participated in the third sprint review.
In the upcoming tasks for sprint 4, my main goal is to complete the product rating system using stars. We'll evaluate how it progresses.
No significant obstacles encountered so far.
This week's class featured a workshop on deploying applications using Google Cloud.
While deploying our application is a pending task, our immediate priorities are directed elsewhere.
No current obstacles in the way.
I initiated work on the review system and provided assistance to my teammates with their sprints.
This week's focus will be on completing the order creation process, finalizing payment and cancellation functionalities, and implementing a purchase history section.
No notable challenges encountered so far.
I attempted to finalize the review system, but unfortunately, success eluded us. Despite this, we successfully committed changes related to order creation and product purchases. Additionally, my colleague achieved success in creating data analysis graphs for the store, which will be viewed by the administrator.
I'll concentrate on resolving any remaining details and make an attempt to deploy the application.
Yes, a significant challenge emerged. The project's interface was compromised after manipulating some files, leading to frustration. This issue persists even in the deployed version.
I will dedicate myself to understand the problem my colleagues propose to address, or see possible alternatives. In any case try to see how to implement the part of data analytics that we are asked.
First of all, I couldn't go to class, so it was a little difficult to get up to speed on what the team wanted to do and the conditions shared during the class. For my part, it is difficult to know which type of project can be implemented and which cannot.
As a team we were able to make the project idea clear, this being a system that would help a small neighborhood vendor maximize their reach. I was able to give ideas on how to implement data analytics in the project. I was also able to define a part of the functional requirements of the system.
I'm going to learn more about Django, given how necessary it will be in our project. I'm going to help my team to define the other specific things we need for the project and for the deliverable.
I was able to establish restrictions for the use of the system by the different actors. As for the part of product recommendation, a perhaps inefficient way to do the process, is to make a customer's liking for a product and indirectly start at 0 or neutral, and as the corresponding feedback is given, increase or decrease and I get the recommendation of this. We defined practically all the functional requirements along with some non-functional requirements of our system. We talked with the teacher to solve some doubts.
We started as a team to advance in a good part of deliverable number 1. Especially to pass the requirements that are almost ready. I am going to advance especially the points 1 of the deliverable, and in an auxiliary way the points 2 and 3. We are going to improve the class model to make it an efficient and concise system.
It is still difficult to perfect the correct class model for the database, as there is discussion between what should go and what should not. Some points of the deliverable are a bit confusing
I did with my work team the rest of the missing points of the deliverable, the video, and other diagrams, we have also discussed from small to big details of the project, many times we have reached consensus and we feel that this makes our project better and better.
I will support the first deliverable of the work with my team, more than the fact that we are doing well, I hope to receive adequate feedback to improve what we are doing.
It is difficult to know the proper way to make an effective product recommendation algorithm, I will ask Prof. Paola about it.
We did the presentation of what we had in the project. I got the advice I wanted from the professor, in which she gave me the advice, not to look first at how to work with the buyer behavior information, but to look at what we wanted to do with that data to know first hand what fields we should capture. I discussed this information with my team
I am going to modify with my team some tables in the relational model and in the database in order to implement the professor's recommendation. We are going to connect what is in the database with the view. Let's assign ourselves the main requirements so we can start working on them.### Are there any obstacles in the way? For the moment, none.
Together with my team, we restructured the models a little bit. We assigned what everyone will have to do. I supported in the creation of deployment diagrams and components.
I'm going to work on the product details part, this will allow to see a chosen product in more detail, and with most of its data exposed. I am going to make the pitch for the video that pertains to the delivery.
There are things in the diagrams that we are not so sure about, we have noticed that the admin panel that comes with Django, will display the names in English, which is not good at all because of the audience we are targeting.
I was able to finish the assigned requirement, I did the carousel view of the store. In addition to this, I helped my team on the registration functionality, and other details of the page. I helped to populate the database with more products. I made with my team, the video evidence.
Next week I am going to support with my team what we have done so far, I hope to receive a good critique. I will continue to work on advancing sprint 3.
Yes, sometimes it is difficult to coordinate as a team.
In the website exposition, I exposed the welcome section and the product details section, I think we did well.
There are things we need to start implementing, we have determined as a team that the next sections and functionalities will have to do with offers, shopping cart, and wish list. For my part I am going to start making the offers, in this case, based on products with near expiration dates.
So far, everything is going well, there are no relevant obstacles.
I have already made a prototype of what will be the offers of products about to expire, at least, for the moment, an offer section is presented on the main page and in the store and product section the offer is also shown.
I am going to start with my team to fine tune the delivery details, on the diagrams and branding aspects of the product.
It was a little difficult to figure out how to get the discounts reflected, but in the end with persistence and a little creativity I was able to do it. Otherwise there are no major obstacles.
As a team, we had a mentoring session with Professor Paola in which we clarified aspects of deliverable 3, such as a value objective for the project based on analytics, and also reviewed details within the deliverable. The cart section was not as easy as it seemed, at least technically, it was necessary for me to help my designated partner, Jonathan, to achieve a good performance of the cart.
I'm going to polish up the views of the products that are about to expire, and I'm going to make those discounts reflect in the cart. I'm also going to try to make the functionality to edit quantities within the cart.
It is difficult to make progress on all the proposed sections for deliverable 3, it requires time and awareness from all team members.
I helped my colleague in charge of the wish list, I was able to perform the functionality of editing the quantities of the products that are in the shopping cart, we performed the third sprint review of the project.
We decided that the last 3 sections we will focus on for sprint 4 are: Purchase Completion, Product Analytics and sales on the admin side, and reviews by buyers on products purchased. I'm going to do the purchase completion function, which involves verifying that the quantities do not exceed the inventory; that when the purchase is made, the quantities are deducted from the inventory; and that the purchase information is stored for later viewing in a purchase history.
Not at the moment.
This week in class we did the fourth workshop about deployment using Google Cloud
It would be great to deploy our application, but at the moment there are other more important things to do.
Not at the moment.
I have started to work in the order creation.
To finish the order creation function, as well as the payment and cancellation of this one, also the purchase history.
Not at the moment.
I have alredy commited all the advances in which I worked: order creation, which involves to reserve the order products from the general inventory, this happens at least for 5 minutes, it could 30, 60... as an estimate of time in which the buyer can pay the order, the time counter is shown in live, otherwise the order will be automatically cancelled and the products of the order will be released. If the buyer pay, the order passes to be "confirmado", and now is posible that the buyer see the order in the orders section as confirmed
I will try to fix some details, and try to deploy de application
Yeah, and one really bad, for me and for my coworker Jonathan, the interface was damaged after manipulate some files, we do not know the reason, it is really frustrating, even in the deployed version is visible the fail
