…adjacent Error bars from real data (S1, PR #12): ARKit drift on real outdoor walks is p90 8.2 in after 3 ft, 22.3 in after 10 ft and 60.1 in after 30 ft (2018 iPhone 6s, ARKit 1.0), so docs/02's flat 0.3 ft holds only near the meter. Scenes may omit plus_minus_ft (the schema makes it optional and the app does not export yet), so the defaults matter: an AR-placed position (tap or vlm object, wall, ground patch) without its own error now gets its source default plus errors.drift_per_ft (0.16) per foot walked from the meter. 0.3 ft + 0.16 ft/ft covers S1's p90 at all three distances. Tape values, the meter anchor and explicit errors are unchanged. Each candidate is checked with the wall's error at its far edge from the meter. Sweep: a run only grows by a start on the same piece within one sweep step, so it can never claim starts nobody evaluated (S4 case g03 at 44607e0; already split by segment since 58632a1, now explicit). Speed: the grid puts the battery's centre on the 2 in grid instead of both edges (still mirror-symmetric, half the starts), and the ground check measures nearness to other surfaces by distance instead of buffering per candidate. Example scene about 0.17 s. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

Supporting-code review at the same head. These input, cache and failure-path findings complete the reviewed source areas. Checks were source traces and small standard-library reproductions, not dataset or model runs.
- Score every photo count on the same seed groups (comparable_groups), so 1/2/4/8-photo rows compare like with like. The 8-photo headline rows are unchanged; answer 4 now shows more photos make it worse (p90 5.2 to 11.9 in). - Level the vertical cohort on the ground plane under the cameras, not the cameras' mean up (5.4 and 10.0 degrees off); 0.7% and 2.7% of vertical points change cohort. - Weight Map3D boundary columns by their clipped width; the facing claim reads 0.50 ft, at the bar, not 0.52. - Treat a sample with no scan depth as unseen in the truth and reject it in the options depth test; add regressions. - Field kit: keep manifest image paths inside the capture, stamp predictions with the capture they came from, refuse a map or truth for another capture, and keep the other rows when the tape fails. - Replay: whole-second bounds and a source stamp before clearing a folder. - Fingerprint cached model inputs; raise on a truncated PLY header. - Relabel the walk-to-walk spread as disagreement, not a bound on ARKit error. - README is now a short front door; methods and results move to METHODS.md, with prerequisites (uv, Python 3.12, macOS 26 / Swift 6.2 for the drivers) and the unpinned DINOv2 fetch stated as a reproducibility limit. - Regenerate the affected results. Repair re-review: seven original threads accepted; three remain open. One additional stale-summary finding follows. Verification used source, committed JSON and lightweight arithmetic, not dataset or model reruns.
- Grouped MapAnything: the cache key adds the intrinsics and the checkpoint, the runner checks free space and the checkpoint sha256 as models.run does, and run.json records the checkpoint. - The free-space guard measures the volume that holds HF_HOME. - Pose-prior fit cache: the key adds the bytes of every image and depth map the fitter reads. A full refit reproduced every number. - Map3D claims: 2 cm columns tile each span exactly, including the last partial strip, and a claim of exactly 0.5 ft passes. Results unchanged. - Results JSON is strict: a failed percentile is "failed", nothing to compute is null. eth3d_recon.json and pose_priors.json regenerated. - make field fetches the scoring harness by its full pinned SHA, and stamp refuses a map bound to another session before writing anything. - MARViN: only the 89 files pinned in evals/marvin_manifest.json are fetched and scored, each checked against its sha256. - modern_arkit.md regenerated with the disagreement wording; wall p90 intervals updated to the regenerated [2.0, 4.6] and [3.7, 6.9]. …pose-noise confound - run_groups writes each group's depth maps and run.json to a staging folder and swaps it in through models.run.publish, so a write failure partway through a group leaves the previous outputs and run.json whole. - METHODS.md section 3 no longer claims (b) is worse with 4 photos on the AR-like settings. The 4- and 8-photo groups from one seed get different pose noise (one generator shared across sizes) and possibly different advio_2018 scales, so those rows mix photo count with pose error. The exact-pose comparison (4.5 in with 4 photos, 4.0 in with 8) stands, and so does the README's 8-photo wall result. The re-run is issue #159. No numbers changed. Wrong survey passes capture check
If an operator passes the wrong tape survey to make field, stamp adds the current session zip’s hash to that survey without checking which session its readings belong to. The later capture check then passes, and the field report can show a plausible but invalid AR-scale estimate and comparison table. The survey needs an independent session binding before its capture list is updated.

**Wrong survey passes capture check**
If an operator passes the wrong tape survey to `make field`, `stamp` adds the current session zip’s hash to that survey without checking which session its readings belong to. The later capture check then passes, and the field report can show a plausible but invalid AR-scale estimate and comparison table. The survey needs an independent session binding before its capture list is updated.

For each issue above, determine whether it is valid and should be fixed. If so, fix it directly. There was a problem hiding this comment.
Fixed in f37cddd. The scoring harness rejects unknown survey fields, so a survey can't carry a session id. Its captures list (zip sha256s) is the binding instead: stamp refuses a survey that already lists any other capture, naming it, before it converts or appends anything or writes the map. A survey stamped for this capture is accepted again. Test: test_stamp_refuses_a_survey_already_bound_to_another_capture checks that the survey file is unchanged and no stamped map is written. Survey readings carry no per-reading session id to compare.
…ind the survey - coverage_options: an option that claims no wall is untested, not passed, as in evals.coverage. The five 75-degree grid rows go from passes: true to null, and their table cells read "untested". Nothing else changed. - recon and pose_priors scoring refuse a method whose output covers some of a size's seed groups but not all, naming the missing groups; a size with no output at all is still left out as never run. Both scorers reran with this check and reproduced their committed results byte-for-byte, so none came from a partial run. - stamp refuses a survey that already lists another capture, before writing anything. The harness's survey format has no session field, so the captures list is the binding. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick winMark intervals with insufficient independent samples as unavailable.
bootstrap_intervalresamples groups and noise draws. With one group and one draw, every replicate contains the same result, sointerval_95equals the point estimate. This does not estimate uncertainty across groups or draws.Emit an explicit unavailable value for this case, update the formatter to display it as unavailable, and regenerate the results.

42-47: 🎯 Functional Correctness | 🔵 Trivial | ⚡ Quick winUse a turning path to test the mirrored-world case.
The fixture uses a straight path and one constant camera heading. Both reflection candidates can therefore have zero heading-offset spread, while the final rotation can still align a straight path. A regression that selects the unflipped candidate can pass this test. Add a change of direction and assert that the returned positions use the intended reflection.

field/FIELD_SHEET.mdis a one-page, phone-readable sheet. It fixes the order of taps and measurements, because Measure Lab numbers measurements itself (M1, M2…). The survey and map templates infield/already name every item, so the team types only tape readings, as the tape shows them.make fieldconverts those readings to feet and fills in the zip's sha256 and session id. It stamps its predictions with the capture they came from, and refuses to score predictions, a map or a survey made for another capture. If the tape reference fails, only the tape row fails. Why
The placement decision is only as good as the error bound on each measurement, and "unseen is not clear" is only as good as the coverage map.
docs/00-overview.mdassumes ±0.3 ft of tracking error for an AR tap, the capture plan assumed photo depth could stand in for LiDAR, and the coverage model had never been compared with what the photos actually saw.Verification
