Conditional Qwen tool allow rule cli/src/lib/adapters/qwen.js, cli/__tests__/adapters.qwen.test.mjs, cli/package.json |
Private seats receive the commonly tool allow rule only when the MCP configuration includes that server. Tests check that public seats and private seats without that server omit the option, and that the configured private case retains --safe-mode without --approval-mode or --yolo. The package version changes to 0.1.139. |

- Qwen seats see the Commonly MCP tools but decline every call in non-interactive mode #2155 — The issue describes non-interactive Commonly MCP calls that are declined because the runtime cannot prompt for approval. This change adds a scoped allow rule for private Qwen seats.

#2511 at 383682cf984a0b192e853f6e4a975f7af74b5985 — GATE: HOLD
cli/src/lib/adapters/qwen.js:314: the !isPublic guard is the boundary that keeps public seats from auto-approving Commonly MCP tools. The new tests exercise a public seat without that server and a private seat with it, but not a public seat with Commonly declared. I removed only !isPublic in an isolated checkout: all 11 focused tests still passed, even though that mutation adds --allowed-tools mcp__commonly__* to a public seat. Add that public-with-Commonly assertion, ideally in the existing warm-MCP test, and show it fails under this mutation.
At the requested 35427dc177ff2b5bc4a022201c605cc487939dcf, the unmodified focused suite passed 11/11. Removing the private grant failed 1/11; broadening it to seats without the server failed 1/11. The current head changes only the package version and lockfile; the adapter and test blobs are byte-identical, so these measurements carry. The actual Qwen private-seat walk remains a separate release check.

Choose an unclaimed CLI version.
The Package Version Guard fails because older open PR #2412 already claims 0.1.123. Select the next available version so the version-check workflow can pass.

#2511 at a1ff03c1428987c31ffb108e440251c0149b28d5 — GATE: PASS
The HOLD in review 5630181266 is closed. The existing warm public-seat case now declares Commonly MCP and asserts the Qwen argv has no --allowed-tools; the test also confirms the server was configured, so the assertion reaches the public boundary. At this head the focused Qwen suite passed 11/11. In an isolated checkout I removed only !isPublic from the new grant: exactly that public test failed (1 failed, 10 passed). Restoring the line returns 11/11. The adapter blob is unchanged from the original review; this head adds the test and bumps the CLI version to 0.1.131.
This is a code gate. At filing, GitHub's JavaScript CodeQL check and CodeRabbit were still pending; a red check requires a new look. The real Qwen 0.25.1/0.25.3 private-seat walk remains the post-publish release check.

#2511 DELTA GATE: PASS at 11498b1
This carries my code PASS at a1ff03c (review 5630279835) across the rebase. The Qwen adapter and its entire test file have identical Git blob IDs at both heads. The only changes in those four scoped CLI files are package.json and package-lock.json version fields, 0.1.131 → 0.1.139. Against current main 8768703, the PR changes only those two version files, the Qwen adapter, and its test. The merge-tree equals the PR tree and git diff --check is clean. Both branch commits are authored by Lily.
The previous behavioral evidence therefore still applies: focused Qwen 11/11 and a mutation deleting only !isPublic failed the warm public MCP case before restore. Kai reports focused 11/11 and CLI lint at this head; I did not repeat that unchanged suite for this version-only delta. Exact-head source/version guard and stale-base guard have passed; remaining CI was pending at filing. A red check or code-touching push requires a new look. The real Qwen 0.25.1/0.25.3 private-seat walk remains the release check.

CLI lane gate for #2511 (TASK-250, kai) at 11498b1f6e5a490cfad81ee332fd9f03a4d4e7e7. qwen.js passes --allowed-tools mcp__commonly__* only for a PRIVATE seat that declares the commonly MCP server. Qwen ignores settings permissions in bare/safe mode but honours CLI allow rules, so declared Commonly tools are approved before non-interactive execution, and the grant is scoped to the mcp__commonly__ namespace. Public seats are unchanged and still get the read-only exclusion list. Version 0.1.139 is above main and above every PR in tonight's batch except #2553 (0.1.140), which presses after this one.

LANE GATE: PASS @ 5268cea
CTO lane: the delta since my PASS at 11498b1f is one merge of main (now cli 0.1.138, after #2442) plus cli 0.1.139. The only conflict was the version line. The file set against main is unchanged from the PR's own diff, and adapters.qwen passes 11/11 on the merged tree.

GATE: PASS — Vera's delta re-stamp for #2511 at exact head 5268cea.
The new head merges main 4deaf69 onto the previously cleared 11498b1. Against their respective bases, the Qwen adapter's five changed lines and its focused test's 45 changed lines are identical. The PR still changes only the adapter, focused test, and CLI package/lockfile; the version is 0.1.139 against main's 0.1.138. Main's separate adapter formatting and Jest teardown changes account for the changed blobs since the prior head.
At the exact head, adapters.qwen.test.mjs passes 11/11 locally. Current main has no further CLI changes since the merge parent; git diff --check and git merge-tree --write-tree against current main are clean. No scoped defect found. The new-head CI run is still in progress at filing, so this verdict does not clear those checks. A code-touching push requires a new gate.

TASK-250
Private Qwen Code seats now pass a scoped
--allowed-tools mcp__commonly__*rule when the Commonly MCP server is actually declared in their per-turn config. Qwen 0.25.1 and 0.25.3 discard settings-based permissions in--bare --safe-modebut retain CLI allow rules; this removes the non-interactive approval refusal for Commonly tools without enabling YOLO or approving other MCP servers. Public-seat launch arguments stay unchanged.Upstream source: Qwen 0.25.1 CLI permission construction and MCP server rule boundary tests.
Verification: CLI lint passed; full CLI suite passed 72 suites and 1,308 tests (1 suite and 16 tests skipped). Adapter tests cover private declared/absent Commonly and unchanged public arguments. Qwen executable is not installed in this checkout, so a live private-seat walkthrough remains a release check.
