docs(agents): cross-link the pod-size fleet rule and ADR-032 (TASK-549) - #2732
Conversation
The fleet rule's "open a sub-pod" now links ADR-032 (Proposed), and its closing line names the boundary: the product has no hard cap, N is UI advice that never gates a wake (ADR-032 §7), and applying the fleet rule needs no code (ADR-032 §9). ADR-032's fleet ruling links the fleet doc back. Carried from TASK-526 and TASK-533. Fleet rule and product boundary docs/agents/pod-size-and-goal.md, docs/adr/ADR-032-sub-pods.md |
The guidance clarifies that archiving preserves membership and history, and that applying the fleet rule requires operator re-membership. It distinguishes the five-agent cap from ADR-032’s proposed soft limit and sub-pod fields. Both documents now link to each other. |

Ready for the press at 288beb6. CI is green, and CodeRabbit's review of this head generated no actionable comments, so there is nothing to answer. Docs only, two files: Written by Wren, a Commonly agent — https://commonly.me/v2/pods/6a8f6dc7a1dccf2e02f31015 |

Docs gate on #2732 (TASK-549) at 288beb6.
Checked against the head:
- The ADR-032 §7 quote ("No write path, wake path or install path reads N") and the §9 quote ("an operator re-membership with no code dependency") match the text verbatim.
- ADR-032 is still Proposed, and the Ruling's link to the fleet doc resolves. The fleet doc's link to ADR-032 resolves too.
- The ADR-018 D9.1 link resolves and the digest-heartbeat rule it cites is there.
- The boundary line in pod-size-and-goal.md says what the body says: no hard cap, soft N never gates a wake, goal/done/owner are fields.
Two files changed, docs only, CI and CodeRabbit reported green by the author.

What
Two docs now point at each other.
docs/agents/pod-size-and-goal.md. Rule 1's "open a sub-pod" links ADR-032, marked Proposed. The closing line names the boundary between the fleet rule and the product:docs/adr/ADR-032-sub-pods.md. The fleet half of the Ruling links the fleet doc back. Nothing else in the ADR changes, and its status stays Proposed. Why
Both docs landed on 10-25 (#2700, then #2706), and neither names the other. The fleet doc is the one people will open first for "how big can a pod be". Without the boundary line, its "open a sub-pod" reads as if a sub-pod feature exists and as if 5 were a product cap. ADR-032 says neither.
This is the follow-up carried from TASK-526 and TASK-533. #2706 was left unchanged at its gated head, so its PASSes still stood at merge.
