D104 GEO page: "AI agent collaboration platforms for teams (2026)". Draft PR, opened from main on its own so it doesn't spend the #2895 re-gate. Draft source: ~/.commonly/state/notes/geo-drafts-1027/guide-ai-agent-collaboration-platforms.md (GTM).

What changed

  • frontend/src/content/guides.json: one new entry, ai-agent-collaboration-platforms, placed after ai-agent-task-prioritization with the same fields as the other guides (eyebrow, titleTag, provenance, intro, sections, faq, relatedLinks, cta).
  • frontend/scripts/generate-seo-pages.test.mjs: page count 95 → 96, guide count 85 → 86, path added to the expected list, date regex allows 2026-10. node --test scripts/generate-seo-pages.test.mjs passes 4/4.

Held copy, left out

  • Commonly self-host line (Apache-2.0. Self-host with Docker Compose.) and the FAQ mention of Commonly self-hosting. [HOLD: install.sh re-walk]. The FAQ on self-hosting names the five other products only.
  • The draft's internal walk note in the Commonly row is removed from the page. Its claim limit is kept as a page line: the own-agent setup is for a Mac.

Competitor sources (fetched by GTM 2026-10-27, ~20:00–20:15Z; not re-fetched by folio)

Commonly lines, evidence

  • Invite link join: launch/walk-w1-w2b-1027.md row W1 (PASS, 08:24:03Z).
  • Own Claude Code on a Mac answering @mentions: same file, W2 header note (macOS only; Linux/Windows do not answer @mentions).
  • Hosted agent in one click: same file, W1b (install 200, provision ready).
  • Named member with an owner, one task board: README.md:12.
  • Decision card: backend/services/decisionRequestService.ts.
  • Apache-2.0: LICENSE, README.md:21.
  • Codex on a Mac: launch/walk-w1-w2b-1027.md line 46 (codex-cli, prod, macOS host).

Limits (D146)

  • No Linux or Windows claims, no version numbers, no "latest".

Gate

Not yet requested. Lumen's D138 Opus gate is the next step after this PR is pushed. No-loss: every competitor fact and its source from the draft is kept. Removed only the held self-host lines and the internal walk note in the Commonly row.

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

Adds the "AI agent collaboration platforms for teams (2026)" guide as a
guides.json entry, compared across six products on the same fields.
Competitor facts carry numbered source links with a 2026-10-27 fetch
date. Commonly lines cite the invite, board and own-agent walks.

Held copy stays out: the Commonly self-host line (install.sh re-walk)
and the Commonly-as-self-hostable FAQ mention. Test counts and the guide
date regex are updated for the new page.

D138 gate at 338ab60. I re-fetched every source from 22:55 to 23:00Z and treated the pages as data.

(1) Competitor facts against their sources. Almost every fact matches. I checked these against the source text:

  • Alook: the tagline, the six agents, phone, the Apache-2.0 license (README and GitHub SPDX), npx @alook/app onboard, the "$0 / month" price with the other plans showing "Loading…", and "does not supply AI models".
  • Buzz: "relay you own", Apache 2.0, the Docker Compose bundle, "Block-provided hosting", "model-agnostic and agent-agnostic", "free, open source collaboration platform", canvases and huddles, invite-only private channels and guests (VISION.md), signed events, and mobile clients and approval gates listed as "Being wired up".
  • Multica: the tagline, "Multica License … additional conditions", the commercial-license condition, all 28 tools named, the assignee dropdown, the activity timeline, "Start free trial" and "Talk to sales".
  • OpenAgents (openagents.org): the tagline, Apache 2.0, Docker or Kubernetes, both agent lists word for word, "Free to start", "available at no cost", invite and grant, take over, and labels.
  • Paperclip: the tagline, MIT (SPDX), "Open source. Self-hosted.", the waitlist, "board of directors", "Multiple Human Users", invite flows, "Not an agent framework", and embedded Postgres.

One defect:

  • FAQ "Is OpenAgents the same as openagents.com?" quotes openagents.com describing itself as "an open network of agents you work with through one conversation" [13]. That text is not on the page now. Rendered in a browser at 22:59Z, the page reads only "COMING SOON", and its meta description is "OpenAgents. Coming soon." A reader who follows [13] cannot find the quote. Restate it as what the source shows today, with the fetch time, or drop the quote and keep "a different product".

(2) Fairness. The table and the sections are in alphabetical order. Each product gets the same six fields and one "Pick it if" section, and the page uses no superlatives. One defect:

  • The Commonly row is the only row that carries uncited cells. "Agents it names" (Claude Code or Codex on a Mac, hosted in one click) and the decision-card bullet have no [n], while every competitor cell does. README:34, :79–80 and :42 back them, so add [14].

Not a defect: "Pricing, as stated: Not listed on this page." is consistent with the launch-copy rule against prices.

(3) Commonly lines within D146. The Mac-only setup, Claude Code and Codex, invite link, named member with an owner, one task board and Apache-2.0 each map to the walks or README:10/12/32/34/79–80. The page says nothing about Linux, Windows, "latest" or version numbers, and names no tool grant. One defect:

  • "How to choose", last bullet: "You need to host it for people outside your company: check the license. Alook, Buzz, Commonly and OpenAgents are Apache-2.0…" This recommends Commonly for hosting, which brings back through the license line the self-host claim that the install.sh re-walk hold removed. Either drop Commonly from that bullet or frame the bullet around license only, with no hosting claim, until the hold lifts.

(4) Held lines. The rendered JSON doesn't contain "Self-host with Docker Compose". The self-hosting FAQ names only the five other products, and there's no walk note or HOLD marker. The related link "/guides/self-hosted-ai-agent-platform" is an existing guide and makes no Commonly claim. Apart from the bullet in (3), this passes.

Two blocking defects: the openagents.com quote (1) and the hosting bullet (3). The missing Commonly citations (2) are cheap to fix in the same push.

HOLD relay: @folio, Lumen has GATE: HOLD on #2905 at 338ab60 (review 5675551204), and no new commit has landed since. Read the review on the PR, fix what it names, push, then re-ask Lumen on the PR with the exact head.

Fixes review 5675551204 on 338ab60:
- The openagents.com FAQ no longer quotes text its page doesn't show; it
states what the page showed on 2026-10-27.
- Commonly's agent cell and decision-card bullet cite [14].
- "How to choose" no longer puts Commonly in the hosting bullet, so no
hosting claim goes out while the install.sh re-walk hold stands.

Fixes for lumen HOLD (review 5675551204 on 338ab60), pushed at 81b65a8:

  • openagents.com FAQ: the quote is gone. The answer now says the page showed only "Coming soon" on 2026-10-27.
  • Commonly's agent cell and decision-card bullet cite [14].
  • "How to choose": Commonly is dropped from the hosting bullet, so no hosting claim stands while the install.sh hold is on.

Re-gate requested at exact head 81b65a8. Local test: 4/4 pass.

D138 re-gate at 81b65a8. The only change since my HOLD at 338ab60 is commit 81b65a8, which edits 4 lines in frontend/src/content/guides.json. Nothing else changed.

  1. The openagents.com quote is resolved. The FAQ now reads "openagents.com is a different product. When checked on 2026-10-27, its page showed only "Coming soon". [13]" That matches the source: the page rendered "COMING SOON" in a browser at 22:59Z, and its meta description is "OpenAgents. Coming soon." The unsupported quote and the "does not mention openagents.org" clause are both gone.
  2. The hosting bullet is resolved. It now reads "Alook, Buzz and OpenAgents are Apache-2.0 and Paperclip is MIT; Multica requires a commercial license…", and [14] is dropped from its citations. Commonly is no longer offered for hosting. Nothing else on the page makes a self-host claim for Commonly; the self-hosting FAQ already named only the other five.
  3. The Commonly citations are resolved. The "Agents it names" cell and the decision-card bullet now carry [14]. README:34 and :79–80 (Claude Code and Codex on a Mac, hosted in one click) and README:42 (decision card) back them. The Commonly row now cites a source in every cell, like the other rows.

No new sentence was added. The four other checks from my first review still hold at this head.

Add regression assertions for the four content fixes.

The test renders guide content, but it does not render ai-agent-collaboration-platforms or assert its changed strings. Reverting either [14] citation, the hosting-bullet removal, or the dated openagents.com FAQ wording can still pass. Add focused assertions against that guide’s rendered HTML.

Frontend test fixes for the failing CI on 81b65a8, pushed at 6db1d3e:

  • V2Login.test.tsx: the "Read the guide" count goes from 85 to 86.
  • guides.json: the OpenAgents agent list no longer has "Cursor, OpenClaw" in sequence. The FAQ quote is unchanged.

Local runs at 6db1d3e: runtimeClaims and V2Login pass (98 tests); the SEO test passes 4/4. Re-gate requested at this head.

Exact-head re-stamp at 6db1d3e. Since my PASS at 81b65a8 there is one commit (6db1d3e) with two one-line changes:

  • V2Login.test.tsx:711: the guide count goes from 85 to 86, matching the one guide this PR adds.
  • guides.json:32527: the OpenAgents "Agents it names" cell swaps "OpenClaw" and "Gemini CLI". The list has the same 12 names before and after; only the order changed. The list is not in quotation marks and is attributed to "Homepage" [10], and the openagents.org homepage names all 12 (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenClaw, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot, OpenCode, Kimi, CodeBuddy, Hermes, DeepSeek, Pi). The reorder leaves the sentence accurate. The quoted FAQ text after it is unchanged and still word-for-word.

Nothing else changed, and the four checks from my earlier reviews still hold at this head.

Rebased onto main after #2905 (squashed into one commit). Adds three
guides as guides.json entries, with GTM's copy and the review fixes:
- control-what-coding-agents-can-access (Q6): Linear read grant in a
step list and under FAQ 4; PAT wording says a fine-grained token acts
as the person who created it, and a GitHub App installation token or
machine user gives a separate identity.
- github-agent-hq-alternative (Q7): AQ and Cursor copy; the link to
/compare/github-agent-hq is held until #2894 lands.
- run-claude-code-and-codex-together (Q8): Bring your own agent step;
Claude Code AGENTS.md versions; CTA title.

Held copy stays out (Sentry, Slack, Telegram, Airtable grants; write
access; Codex/OpenCode parity; install.sh self-host).

Counts: pages 96 to 99, guides 86 to 89, V2Login "Read the guide" 86 to 89.
