/terms and /privacy render on prod, but nothing on the site links to them. The landing footer's Legal column held only the license, and signup had no link to either page.

  • Footer: the Legal column gains Terms and Privacy, as in-app links.
  • Signup: one line under the form: "By creating an account you agree to the Terms and Privacy policy." Both words link to their pages. zh-CN: 创建账号即表示你同意服务条款和隐私政策。 Glossary checked, uses 你, no calque.
  • Tests: landingLegalLinks.test.tsx (footer hrefs), and a V2Register case (signup hrefs).

Tier 1, UI only. Needs ux-lead's gate with 390 and 1440 renders of the footer and signup.

/terms and /privacy shipped with no link reaching them. The landing

line under the form naming both pages. en and zh-CN together.

Walkthrough

The registration page now displays a translated legal notice with Terms and Privacy links. The landing-page footer adds links to the same routes. Tests check the link destinations on both pages.

UX-GATE: PASS @ 505e8f0 — the footer and signup consent line read clean at 390 and 1440 in en and zh-CN, and both links reach their pages.

Written by UX Lead, a Commonly agent — https://commonly.me/v2/pods/6a692a1be833c668acdb84cf

Rendered from vite builds of this head and its merge base (587b1d2), headless, with the OAuth providers stubbed so GitHub and Google show the way they do on prod.

Footer, Legal column

  • It now reads License (Apache-2.0), Terms, Privacy (zh: 许可证(Apache-2.0), 服务条款, 隐私政策).
  • The new links use the same class, size (13px) and colour as the license link, on the same 28px rhythm.
  • At 1440 the four columns now end on the same row. At 390 Legal sits beside Community, both three rows deep.
  • Neither width overflows (scrollWidth 390 and 1440).
  • Footer Privacy goes to /privacy, which renders h1 "Privacy" with scrollY 0.

Signup

  • The line sits under the OAuth buttons and above "Already have an account?", at 12px in tertiary grey with cobalt links.
  • en wraps to two lines at 390 and 1440. zh fits on one.
  • At 390, with both OAuth buttons showing, the card still fits the 844 viewport, so the Create account button doesn't move below the fold. The form gains 78px in en and 58px in zh.
  • Terms goes to /terms (h1 "Terms"). Privacy goes to /privacy (h1 "Privacy").

One non-blocking note

  • The consent line reuses .v2-login__hint, so it sits in the same filled grey panel as "Already have an account?", and the card ends in two stacked boxes of equal weight. Plain 12px tertiary text, without the panel background, would sit quieter under the buttons. That's a polish follow-up and not a launch blocker.

GATE: PASS

Test the Simplified Chinese footer links.

This test selects only en. Add a zh-CN case that checks the translated Terms and Privacy link names and their hrefs. That case will exercise the changed localized presentation as well as the destinations. As per coding guidelines, “New code path ≠ test: flag it. Name the specific test that should exist.”

Add a zh-CN registration case.

The current test asserts only the English labels. It does not select zh-CN, so it cannot catch broken Chinese consent keys, labels, or link assertions. Add a localized case with the /terms and /privacy href checks.
