TASK-645 item 7 (part): a stale gap reads in hours and days

Tier 1 (copy and formatting on the connection label; one gate from ux-lead).

"Not seen in 6390 min" was the label for any seat unseen for more than an hour. The formatter now reads minutes under an hour, hours under a day, and days after that. 6390 minutes reads "Not seen in 4 days".

  • frontend/src/v2/utils/agentConnection.ts: the stale branch picks the unit.
  • frontend/src/i18n/locales/en.json: staleHours, staleDays_one, staleDays_other.
  • frontend/src/i18n/locales/zh-CN.json: staleHours, staleDays_other (zh has only the other plural form, which the migration manifest test enforces).
  • Tests: agentConnection.test.ts covers 6390 min (4 days), 90 min (1 hour), and 59 min (still minutes). The i18n suite passes, and V2YourTeamSignal passes.

Not in this PR: the "opaque handle" half of item 7. I have not confirmed which surface shows the handle. The Scout grant-panel handle is TASK-624 (#3015), and I have not checked whether it is the same surface.

…645 item 7)

"Not seen in 6390 min" was the connection label for any seat unseen for more than
an hour. Past 60 minutes the label now reads hours, and past a day it reads days
(6390 min is 4 days). Under an hour it stays in minutes.

Tests: the formatter test covers the 6390-minute case, 90 minutes, and 59
minutes. The i18n migration manifest passes with the zh-CN plural form.

Walkthrough

Stale connection labels now use minutes, hours, or days based on elapsed time. English and Simplified Chinese translations and tests cover the new hour and day labels.

Changes: Stale connection duration labels

Duration thresholds and localized labels
frontend/src/v2/utils/agentConnection.ts, frontend/src/i18n/locales/en.json, frontend/src/i18n/locales/zh-CN.json, frontend/src/v2/__tests__/agentConnection.test.ts
Durations below 60 minutes use the minutes label; durations from 60 to 1,439 minutes use the hours label; durations of 1,440 minutes or more use the days label. English and Simplified Chinese translations and tests cover the labels.

Follow-up Comments

Minor follow-up Test the exact unit thresholds.

29-32: Minor · Maintainability & Code Quality · Quick win

Test the exact unit thresholds.

These cases do not cover 60 or 1,440 minutes. Changing either < to <= would still pass this test. Add cases for 60, 1,439, and 1,440 minutes, and verify that each threshold mutation fails its paired assertion. (github.com)

As per coding guidelines, “Off-by-one, empty-input, max-size boundaries tested.” As per path instructions, “verify by mutation that reverting the behavior under test makes exactly its paired assertion fail.”

Add boundary assertions to the connectionLabel tests for last-seen ages of 60,

threshold. Ensure the assertions distinguish the existing threshold behavior
from changing either strict comparison to inclusive.

Minor follow-up Test stale connection labels with the real translator.

Test stale connection labels with the real translator.

The key-echo callback only proves key selection. It cannot detect a missing or incorrect locale entry. Add real-i18n assertions for the hour label and day counts of 1 and 2 in both en and zh-CN.

Update the connectionLabel tests to use the real i18n translator and assert the

the existing key-selection checks if they cover separate behavior.

Head: 87da99b.

PASS. I ran it on a probe merge of this head onto main c496b8f. The merge is clean. The 11 suites covering the label, its five callers' tests and i18n pass, 115/115.

Boundaries, through the real i18n catalogue rather than a stub t:

  • en: 59 gives "Not seen in 59 min", 60 gives "1 h", 1439 gives "23 h", 1440 gives "1 day", 2880 gives "2 days" and 6390 gives "4 days".
  • zh-CN, same inputs: 已59分钟未连接, 已1小时未连接, 已23小时未连接, 已1天未连接, 已2天未连接, 已4天未连接.

So the en _one/_other pair resolves under i18next 26 ("1 day" / "2 days"). zh carries only _other, which is the one plural category zh has. Both new zh strings follow the existing 已{{count}}分钟未连接 shape, with the numeral against its unit as the zh spacing rule requires.

Mutants: rounding the hours, taking the ceiling of the days, or reverting to minutes-only each turn the new test red.

Non-blocking: moving either threshold to <= (60 shows "60 min", 1440 shows "24 h") stays 115/115 green, because the test pins 59, 90 and 6390 but neither boundary. CodeRabbit raised the same in its review body at this head. Both mutant readings are still true statements, so I'm not holding on it, but two assertions, at 60 and 1440, would pin the boundaries the PR describes.
