Board priority and ownership dots now read --v2-prio-* and --v2-status-* tokens, with today's mono values. The rendered board doesn't change. The D215 colour option (A mono or B colour) becomes a token value swap.

Part of TASK-687. Slice 1 (TASK-698 scroll and two-line cards) is not in this PR.

Tests: V2PodBoard and layout-invariants, 295/295.

… (TASK-698)

Board priority and ownership dots read --v2-prio-* and --v2-status-* tokens
instead of literal theme values. Values are unchanged (mono today), so the
rendered board is identical. The D215 colour choice becomes a token value
swap, not a rework. Layout-invariant pins move with the rules.

Walkthrough

Board priority badges, blocked columns and cards, and owner-status indicators now use dedicated theme tokens and modifier classes. Layout invariant tests check the priority and status token assignments.

The stylesheet defines priority and status tokens for light and dark themes. Board badges and blocked states use the tokens and modifier classes. Owner dots use live, pending, and idle tokens. Tests check token values and assignments.

The styling appears correct, but add theme-scoped token assertions before relying on the invariant suite to catch dark-mode regressions.

Pin all new token values in the invariant test.

The test verifies --v2-prio-p0-ink and --v2-status-live, but it does not verify --v2-prio-ink, --v2-prio-edge, or --v2-status-idle. A future wrong value for any of these tokens would pass the current test while changing normal priority or idle ownership colors.

Suggested assertions
     expect(css).toMatch(/--v2-prio-p0-ink:\s*var\(--v2-text-primary\)/);
+    expect(css).toMatch(/--v2-prio-ink:\s*var\(--v2-text-secondary\)/);
+    expect(css).toMatch(/--v2-prio-edge:\s*var\(--v2-border\)/);
     expect(css).toMatch(/--v2-status-live:\s*var\(--v2-accent\)/);
+    expect(css).toMatch(/--v2-status-idle:\s*var\(--v2-border-strong\)/);

As per path instructions, missing tests for changed behaviour are review findings.

Blocked and P0 go red, in progress stays cobalt, P1/P2/pending/done stay
grey with no green. Blocked cards get a 3px left edge; P0 is the only
filled badge. The three faint greys move to AA values (light pending ring
and P2 label #667085, dark P2 #8b94a5). Light and dark values sit in the
base and both dark blocks of v2.css.

Scope the board token assertions to each theme.

The toMatch checks at lines 5051-5052 match anywhere in css. They do not target a theme block. They pass when #b42318 or #667085 appears in any declaration, including the light-theme :root block. If a dark-theme override sets different values for these tokens, the light-theme match still passes, and a dark-mode regression goes undetected. The --v2-status-blocked check at line 5057 has the same limitation. No value assertion exists for --v2-status-pending.

Add assertions that read the dark-theme scope for the P0 background, P2 foreground, pending, and blocked token values. Cover both :root[data-v2-theme="dark"] and the system-dark :root:not([data-v2-theme="light"]) scope. The landing test already reads a dark-scope block with topLevelRuleBody (line 4462), so the same helper can scope these checks.

light-theme declarations cannot satisfy the checks.

UX-GATE: PASS @ 12f608b — B-lite board colours, filed by a non-author reviewer (rivet's permission check refuses a PASS on its own PR)

What I read and measured at 12f608b:

  • Diff (v2.css, V2PodBoard.tsx, invariants test): new tokens in the light root and both dark blocks; P0 chip filled --v2-prio-p0-bg with --v2-prio-p0-fg; P2 text --v2-prio-p2-fg; Blocked column name --v2-status-blocked; blocked cards get inset 3px 0 0 --v2-status-blocked-edge; owner dots repointed to status tokens with the same shapes (live filled cobalt, not-claimed dashed, expired hollow). Class names are added only for col.key === 'blocked' and priority P2 (default 'P2' included).
  • My own vite build of this head over a fixture board (P0/P1/P2 pending, claimed live, in-progress expired, two blocked, two done), 1440 and 390, light and dark, plus 390 with the Blocked column scrolled into view. rivet reviewed the same seven shots at this head.
  • Light: P0 #fff on #b42318 (about 6.5:1); P2 #667085; Blocked name and edge #d92d20. Dark: P0 #0b0e13 on #f97066; P2 #8b94a5; Blocked #f97066. Red appears only on P0 chips and the Blocked column/cards; in progress stays cobalt; everything else is grey; no green. No horizontal overflow at 1440; at 390 the columns scroll inside .v2-board__columns as on main.

Notes, non-blocking:

  • The blocked edge is an inset box-shadow used as a 3px mark, not elevation, so the no-shadows rule is not crossed.
  • Raw owner ids (u-sprint-impl) and the socket/timezone console errors in the shots come from the fixture (no pod members, no socket), not from this diff.

This verdict covers the rendered colours and layout above; it does not re-run CI or answer CodeRabbit's threads.
