fix(connectors): a grant whose connector is gone is a tile in the Tools grid - #3207
Sharpen TASK-754 (D226 #3, D223): on the Connectors page, a live grant whose catalogue entry is gone sat under the Tools tiles as a full-width card. It had its own oversized title, a status dot, and a lone gear. It now takes the grid's own shape.
What changes
A gone connector is a tile in the Tools grid, beside GitHub's and Linear's. It has the same size, logo, title, live dot and beta mark, and no gear. This holds at 1440 and in the phone grid.
One tile per connector, not per grant. A single grant opens straight to its details, where Revoke lives. Several grants on one connector open a drawer that lists each one by pod, the way an entry's tile does.
The header counts the tile as on. It was never offered, so "available" doesn't change.
No CSS goes dead: .v2-cx-list, the row styles and the gear are all still used by the entry drawers and the hidden-connection list.
Evidence (D215 rule 1)
These were rendered headless against a local fixture backend: GitHub and Linear granted, plus a live Atlassian grant with no catalogue entry. The empty Channels group is a fixture artifact, because the stub serves no channels.

The tile opens the grant's details:
Measured in the browser, the orphan tile has the same box as its neighbours: 173×128 at 1440 and 115×104 at 390, in one row. There are 0 connector rows and 0 gears on the page body (the before shots have 1 and 1).
Tests
ConnectorsPage.layout: a live orphan grant is a tile in GitHub's grid with the live dot, no .v2-connector-row and no icon action in Tools. The header reads "1 on · 1 available", and the tile opens the drawer and shows as pressed. Two Atlassian grants in two pods give one tile, counted once, and their drawer lists both rows by pod. The TASK-753 test (server-named connector) now asserts the tile's logo and beta mark.
ConnectorsPage.tools: TASK-752's orphan count is one tile, with no rows.
Reverse checks: before the fix, the four tile tests fail (the orphan is a row, so findTile finds nothing). Before the count change, the header assertion fails. Before the grouping commit, the two-grants test fails (two tiles, one count). Every Connectors suite passes: 197/197, and 492/492 with the layout invariants. tsc is clean.
Review
One round, with a fresh-context Opus review covering code and design. It held once: two grants on one connector drew two identically named tiles and counted once. That was fixed in 123c7e8 and passed on re-read.
Residual (minor, not fixed here): if a search hides an open multi-grant drawer, clearing the search reopens it without a click.
The live grant the catalogue no longer covers sat under the tiles as a
full-width row with its own title size, a status dot and a lone gear. It is
now a tile beside the others, with the grid's dot, logo and beta mark, and
it opens the grant's drawer, where Revoke lives. Sharpen TASK-754 (D226 #3,

Review of TASK-754: two live grants on one gone connector drew two tiles with
one name and counted once. Orphan grants are now grouped by connector: one
tile, counted once. A single grant still opens its own details; several open
a drawer listing each by pod, as an entry's tile does. The orphan drawer's
logo reads the same key as its tile.

One review round (D218), Tier 1 UI: a fresh-context Opus review covering code and design.
First pass: HOLD. Two live orphan grants on one connector drew two identically named tiles and counted once. Fixed in 123c7e8 by grouping per connector (one tile, one count; several grants open a list by pod). On re-read it passed, including the checks for stale drawer state after close, after a channel or entry tile opens, and after a revoke.
Design: the after shots at 1440 and 390, light and dark, match the d215 artboard's Tools tiles in size, title, logo, beta mark and dot, with no gear. The evidence is in docs/design/evidence/task-754/ and the PR body.
No dead CSS: the row and list styles are still used by the entry drawers and the hidden-connection list.
ConnectorsPage now groups live grants without catalogue entries into tool tiles. Selecting a tile opens a grant’s details or a list of its grants. Orphan groups count as on, but not available. Revoked or expired orphan grants do not appear as tool tiles.

Summary
Group orphan grants and open their drawer frontend/src/v2/connectors/ConnectorsPage.tsx
Live orphan grants are grouped by connector identity. Selecting a single-grant group opens its details; selecting a multi-grant group opens a list of its grants. The drawer uses the group’s connector key as its type. The selection clears when search or revocation removes the group.
Render orphan groups in tool grids frontend/src/v2/connectors/ConnectorsPage.tsx
Phone and desktop tool grids render one granted tile per live orphan group. The on count includes distinct orphan groups, while the available count remains based on offered entries. The separate phone grant-row list is removed.

Clear the orphan selection when search hides its group.

Clear the orphan selection when search hides its group.
If a person opens a multi-grant drawer and searches for another connector, orphanGroup becomes null and the drawer closes. orphanKey remains set. Clearing the search then reopens the drawer without a click. Clear the selection when its group leaves the search results, and test the open–hide–clear sequence. The existing layout tests cover search and multi-grant drawers separately. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Use a namespace-derived label for orphan tiles.
287-303: Minor · Functional Correctness · Quick win
Use a namespace-derived label for orphan tiles.
When the catalogue does not contain a grant namespace, grantConnector returns null and m.toolLabel returns Unknown connector. Distinct orphan groups can therefore render separate tiles with the same visible title, even though each grant still carries its namespace in grant.tools. Users cannot distinguish those tiles by title before opening them.
The tile preserves the namespace as its type. Unknown namespaces also receive the same fallback dot logo, while namespaces with a registered PlatformGlyph can still show different marks. The supported defect is the missing label identity and the conditional generic-logo collision, not a universal logo collision.

orphanKey survived the search that emptied its group, so clearing the

CodeRabbit's body point at 123c7e8 (ConnectorsPage.tsx:123, the orphan selection outliving its search) is fixed in 2544b04. The selection now drops when its group leaves the results, whether a search or a revoke removed it. A new layout test covers the whole sequence: open the two-grant Atlassian drawer, search "github" (the drawer closes), clear the search (the drawer stays closed and the tile is unpressed). It fails without the fix and passes with it. The Connectors suites and the layout invariants pass, 494 tests.

Use a distinct fallback for mixed-namespace grants.
The read contract permits stored mixed-namespace grants with connector: null. orphanKeyOf groups them by their first namespace, so two mixed grants can share one tile, count, and drawer.
Use grantId only for mixed-namespace grants. Keep the namespace fallback for unknown single-namespace grants so grants from the same missing connector remain grouped.
Add a regression test with two live mixed-namespace grants that share the first namespace. The test must assert that they render as separate tiles and fail when the prefix fallback is restored.

Clear single-grant orphan selection when its result disappears.
For a one-grant group, openOrphan stores only m.selectedId and leaves orphanKey null. The cleanup effect therefore cannot clear that selection. m.selected is derived from selectedId and all grants, not the current search result. If search hides the grant or revocation removes it, toolDrawerOpen remains true and the drawer can stay open after its tile disappears. (raw.githubusercontent.com)
Clear the selected orphan grant when it is absent from the current live orphanGrants. Add a single-grant search and revoke test. The test must assert drawer closure and an unpressed tile so reverting the cleanup turns the test red.

On CodeRabbit's body-only point at 2544b04 ("Use a distinct fallback for mixed-namespace grants", ConnectorsPage.tsx:117): not changing this, because no write path can store a mixed-namespace grant.
The mint (routes/grants.ts POST /) refuses any tool outside broker.enabledTools. Each broker belongs to one connection: GitHub's lists only the github-app tool definitions, and a hosted entry's lists ${entry.id}.${tool} (toolInstallables.ts:150,180).
An attenuated child must be a subset of its parent (roomGrantService.ts:550), so it can't add a second namespace either.
grantConnector returning null for two namespaces is the read declining to guess, not a shape it expects to serve.
If a hand-written row ever did mix namespaces, it would share a tile with the first namespace's grants, and the drawer would still list it with its own tools and its own revoke. The access stays visible and revocable. A test for that case would cover a row that can't be created, so I've left it out.
