This moves the secondary v2 pages onto the grammar of the seven reference surfaces: sidebar, chat, board, agent memory, agent settings, settings and connectors. It comes from the 11-04 consistency audit on prod, which captured 34 routes at 1440 and 390 in light and dark; this PR covers findings 2–8. Behaviour, routes and data are unchanged. Only styling moves.

Shared layer

  • .v2-feature__title sets Bricolage 24/800 on desktop. Seven pages had been rendering IBM Plex Sans 24/850: BYO, Connect, Global Integrations, User Admin, Analytics, API Dev and Pod Context Dev.
  • .v2-feature__header is the single shared head bar: 64px, the title 28px from the pane edge, a divider, and an 11.5px mono count. A page that draws its own head opts in with .v2-feature--bar and scrolls under it in .v2-feature__scroll. V2PageHead gains a lead slot for an avatar or a back key.
  • Every v2p key and segment is 44px at ≤760. Before this, Settings had 28px keys and 24px segments on a phone, and Memory had 32 and 28. Chat's keys keep the approved D223 pattern instead: drawn at 32×32, with a 44×44 touch area through ::after. These are the head back key, the inspector toggle, Invite, and the composer's + and Send. A guard checks that a phone key is always square.
  • Board text keys are 28px at r8, the subtitle is 11.5px, and the phone icon keys get flex: none. They had been squeezed to 23×32.

Pages

  • Your team, Person profile, Agent profile (signed in) and the run trace draw the shared bar. They used to have no bar, sitting in centred columns, and the run trace had a 32/700 title that wrapped at 390.
  • BYO and Connect drop the round "i" hint from the head. Its text becomes the intro line.
  • Keys move from 34px at r10 to the v2p sizes: 28px at r8, and 44px on a phone.
  • Edges use the D215 ring instead of 1px borders. Cards are r9 and lanes r12.
  • Section labels are 11.5px mono h2s, replacing Bricolage 16/800 and 20/700. Counts are 11.5px.
  • Phone gutter is 12px on the run trace, as the reference pages ship.

Departures

  • The inspector sheet at 390 picks up the shared phone rule. Its Pod/Threads segments and its Members and Manage agent keys are now 44px, so the sheet's head is about 20px taller. Nothing clips, and nothing overflows.
  • On a phone, head actions take their own full-width row, so Team and the profiles get a taller bar.
  • Signed in, the agent profile moves its description to the intro line and shrinks the avatar: 24px drawn on a phone, with a 44px touch area for the owner's edit. The signed-out public page is unchanged.
  • The card ring is one token, --v2-ring-card.
  • The d215 frames for these pages still draw the old keys, cards and headings. The pages now follow the reference surfaces instead, and the frames get their own follow-up.

Strings: connect.intro is added in en and zh-CN. It was hard-coded in V2App. The zh reads 「MCP 用的是接入时创建的智能体密钥。」.

Tests

  • Full src/v2 src/i18n: 2687 pass. The d215 scorer test passes 16/16. tsc reports no errors under src/.
  • Presence guards cover the head font, the 44px phone rule, the board's flex: none and the 12px run-trace gutter. Each fails when its rule is broken.

Browser check: own-origin dev:live against prod, read-only, at 1440 and 390, light and dark, plus zh at 390, on every touched route plus Settings and Connectors. Page overflow is 0 on all 80 captures.

Add a presence test for the bar layout’s flex sizing.

The new .v2-feature__legacy rule needs min-height: 0 and a column flex layout so the inner scroll area can shrink. The new test at frontend/src/v2/__tests__/v2-layout-invariants.test.ts, Lines 6408-6409, would still pass if those declarations were removed. Assert the load-bearing declarations in that test. As per path instructions, “Load-bearing layout CSS (overflow, scroll containment, flex sizing) needs a presence test in frontend/src/v2/tests/v2-layout-invariants.test.ts.” (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Restore a 44px touch area for the owner avatar edit button on phones.

The owner avatar edit button is reduced to 24px on phones, and the edit hint is hidden. No phone rule extends this button to the 44px touch target used by the other profile controls.

Reject hard-coded primary-button fill and text colors.

@coderabbitai All three points were valid. They're fixed in 0ddd63d.

  • Bar layout flex sizing (v2.css ~2496): a presence guard now covers the whole chain. The body is a flex column with hidden overflow, and both the legacy wrapper and the scroller are flex: 1 1 auto with min-height: 0. If the scroller's min-height: 0 is removed, the guard fails.
  • Owner avatar edit on phones (v2-agent-profile.css:24): confirmed as a regression. Main drew it at 56px, and this branch drew it at 24. It's now 24px drawn with an ::after { inset: -10px } that gives a 44px touch area. In the browser at 390, a tap just inside the edge lands on it. A guard covers it.
  • Primary-button colours (signalTokens.test.ts): the guard is tighter. Every background and color in .v2p-b-p must resolve through var(), so hex, rgb(), hsl() and named colours are refused. With color: white, it fails.

Review round (D218) at 0ddd63d, covering code, design, layout and zh-CN. The first round held at 40d2a76 on one finding: the shared 44px phone rule stretched chat's D223 keys to 32×44 and pushed the pod head to 64px. This head fixes that.

The hold

  • At ≤760, chat's back key, inspector toggle, Invite, + and Send stay at 32×32 drawn, with 46×46 ::after hit areas.
  • At 390 in both themes, measured against main, it matches main exactly. The pod head is 53px, glyph centres are level (y=26 head, y=754 composer), the composer is 370×72, and the + menu clears its key by 8px.
  • A new guard requires phone keys to be square, either 44×44 or the D223 32×32.

The rest

  • Shared head bar on Team, both profiles, BYO, Connect, Global Integrations and the run trace: Bricolage 24/800 at -0.72px, 21/800 at 390. Every route has exactly one h1. Scroll works in .v2-feature__scroll, and the flex chain is guarded.
  • v2p keys at 28/r8 and 44px on a phone.
  • Board phone icon keys hold 32×32.
  • Edges use the --v2-ring-card token, which follows dark mode.
  • Labels and counts are mono 11.5.
  • Owner avatar edit has a 44×44 touch area through ::after, probed with elementFromPoint.
  • Primary-key colours are guarded to var() only.
  • Unchanged: pages with their own sticky headers (board, agent settings, memory, connectors, settings, artifacts, activity, task record) and the legacy room.

zh-CN: 「MCP 用的是接入时创建的智能体密钥。」 follows the glossary and reads naturally.

Tests

  • jest src/v2 src/i18n: 2689 pass. tsc: 0 errors under src/.
  • Mutations, each restored and each failing exactly one test:
    • scroller overflow
    • the Team route's bar class
    • the chat 32×32 restore
    • the avatar ::after

Layout browser check: own-origin vite at this head and at main's merge-base, against prod, read-only.

  • Coverage: 68 captures of the secondary pages at 1440 and 390, light and dark. Then the pod chat head, composer, + menu, open thread and inspector, measured against main at 390, plus the agent profile avatar at 390 and 1440.
  • Result: page overflow is 0 everywhere, and chat matches main.
  • One change to note: the inspector sheet's segments and keys are now 44 under the shared rule. The PR body lists this.

GATE: PASS

Restore the public card-title style, including the Chinese letter-spacing reset.

The unscoped .v2-aprofile .v2-aprofile__card-title rule changes the signed-out public memory heading. The PR states that the public page is unchanged. The Chinese reset that applied to this heading was also removed. A public-only restoration must include that reset. Without it, zh headings receive letter-spacing: -0.02em.

Cover visible literal overrides in the primary-button guard.

A later background-color: orange does not change the visible fill because the opaque gradient is painted above it. However, the guard still accepts background: orange and color: orange. The first replaces the gradient, and the second changes the button text color. Assert the complete tokenized paint declaration set instead of maintaining an incomplete named-color list.

@lilyshen0722 I checked the source and guards.

  • Bar layout: The guard covers the flex sizing chain, including the scroller’s min-height: 0.
  • Owner avatar: The phone rule preserves the 24px visual size and adds the 44px touch area. The guard covers the positioned button and inset: -10px.
  • Primary-button colors: The production rule uses tokens, but the guard still has a gap. In frontend/src/v2/__tests__/signalTokens.test.ts, Line 156, the regex rejects only seven named colors. An added color: orange declaration would escape that check while the existing token declaration satisfies the presence assertion.

Please replace the partial color denylist with validation of the allowed token-based values, then retry with color: orange as well as color: white. The color-guard concern remains unresolved.

I did not run Jest or repeat the browser check.

## Browser proof for layout and focus changes

Jest has no layout engine. For a layout change, capture the actual production
build at desktop and touch/mobile widths, including intermediate breakpoints
changed by the patch. In PR #1588, 1440px and 390px passed while 900px exposed a main
pane auto-placed into a sidebar grid track whose sidebar was not rendered.

…board keys that hold their size

- .v2-feature__title names the display face on desktop: BYO, Connect and the
  admin/dev heads drew Plex 24/850 there (ui-audit-1104 finding 2).
- .v2-feature__header is the reference 64px bar (title 28px in, divider, mono
  11.5 count); V2PageHead gains a lead slot (a profile's avatar), and
.v2-feature--bar / .v2-feature__scroll let a page draw that bar at the pane
edge with a centred column under it (finding 3).
- primitives.css: every v2p key and segment is 44px tall at <=760 (finding 5).
- Board: text keys take the v2p small-key size (28 at r8), the subtitle is
mono 11.5, and phone icon keys are flex: none so back, search and New task
  stop shrinking to 23x32 (findings 4, 6, 8).

…head, keys, edges and labels

- Your team, Person profile and Agent profile (in the shell) draw the shared
head bar at the pane edge; their bodies scroll under it in a centred column
(1100 for the grid, 760 for the profiles). Follow counts and the agent
description move to the intro line under the bar.
- BYO and Connect lose the head's "i" hint; its text is the page's intro line
  (Connect's was a hard-coded English string, now connect.intro in en/zh-CN).
- Keys: Team and Profile adopt the v2p small keys; Agent profile, Connect and
BYO keys take the same 28/r8 size. Phones get 44 from the primitives.
- Edges: Team cards and BYO add-computer are the D215 ring at r9, the lanes
and sections r12. Section labels are mono 11.5/500 muted; counts 11.5.
- Tests: the guards that pinned the old frame values now pin the new ones,
plus a describe for findings 2-8.

…er, ringed cards and mono turn labels

- The run trace draws V2PageHead with .v2-feature__header (the route passes
v2-feature--bar); "Back to pod" is the bar's lead ghost icon key, and the
h1 is the shared 24/800 title instead of 32/700 that wrapped at 390.
- The body is .v2-feature__scroll in a 760 column, so the phone gutter is the
ruled 12px (was a 16px route override); the gutter guard moves to 12.
- Summary and tool calls are the D215 ring at r9 (were 1px at r6); "Turn N"
is the mono 11.5 label (was Bricolage 20/700); Retry and Refresh are v2p
small keys. V2PageHead gains titleId for the region's aria-labelledby.
- Lint: the Team and Profile head class strings move out of JSX
(i18next/no-literal-string), and the invariants file gets back the two
closing braces the rebase conflict resolution dropped.

… and drops the Edit badge

The shared phone rule centres a head's identity, which in this bar is a
column, so the name and meta sat centred at 390. In the shell bar the 18px
"Edit" badge covered the 34px (24 on a phone) face; the avatar stays the edit
control, named by its aria-label and title.

…mitives' 44px rule

The 44px phone rule on .v2p-b/.v2p-ib reached the pod head (back, inspector
toggle) and the composer (+ and Send), which draw at 32 and take touches
through a 44px ::after. Back and the toggle came out 32x44 and the head grew
to 64; Send was a 32x44 oblong. The chat sheets now restore 32x32 at <=760,
so the head, composer and hit areas match main again. A guard holds every
phone icon key square: 44x44 from the primitives, or 32x32 on the D223 keys.

Your team, the run trace and BYO's add-computer card each carried the D215

…, and two guards tighten

On a phone the bar draws the owner's avatar control at 24px (main drew it at
56); a ::after brings the touch area back to 44. The bar layout's flex chain
(body, legacy wrapper, scroller with min-height 0) gets a presence guard, and
the ink-key guard now rejects any literal fill or text colour, not only hex.

…colour list

From CodeRabbit on #3373: `background: orange` and `color: orange` passed,
because the named-colour list was incomplete. The guard now requires the
rule's background and colour declarations to be exactly the two
tokenised ones. A `color: orange` override fails it.

@coderabbitai The trivial point on signalTokens.test.ts:155-156 was valid. Fixed in cb6f3f8, which also rebases onto main. The guard now requires the .v2p-b-p rule's background and colour declarations to be exactly the two tokenised ones, so there's no colour list to keep up to date. Adding color: orange fails it.

Re-stamp (D218) at cb6f3f8. The PASS at 0ddd63d carries over: this head is a rebase plus one commit that answers CodeRabbit.

  • Rebase onto main (5860e25, after #3374 and #3376). One conflict, in agents/v2-agent-profile.css. I kept this PR's public-only 56px avatar scope and #3370's 12px avatar hint.
  • CodeRabbit. The ink-key guard now asserts the exact tokenised paint set. A color: orange override fails it.

Checks: jest src/v2 src/i18n passes 2723 (206 suites). tsc shows 0 errors under src/. The d215 scorer passes 17/17.

Restore the PublicBar signup hit area to 44px on phones.

The current signed-out signup link has a 36px clickable vertical extent. Set the vertical pseudo-element inset to -9px; this produces a 44px extent while keeping the visual button at 28px.

Suggested fix
-  .v2-aprofile .v2-aprofile__bar .v2-aprofile__btn::before { content: ''; position: absolute; inset: -5px -6px; }
+  .v2-aprofile .v2-aprofile__bar .v2-aprofile__btn::before { content: ''; position: absolute; inset: -9px -6px; }

Test the translated intro in a rendered Connect page.

This source assertion passes even if either connect.intro locale entry is removed or no longer loads. Add English and zh-CN render assertions for .v2-connect__intro in V2ConnectPage.test.tsx; its existing Chinese test does not select that paragraph. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

@coderabbitai Both points from the review at cb6f3f8 are valid.

  • v2-agent-profile.css:24, the PublicBar signup key. It is 28px on a phone. Only the hero keys (.v2-aprofile__keys) get the phone rule. The follow-up gives the bar's keys the D223 44px hit area through ::after and keeps the drawn size.
  • v2-layout-invariants.test.ts:6071. The intro is pinned by source text only. The follow-up adds a rendered Connect test under zh-CN.

This PR is already in the merge queue and can't take a push, so both land in the follow-up PR I'm opening now.

@lilyshen0722 Understood. Both findings remain unresolved in this PR until the follow-up fixes are verified.

Please link the follow-up PR in both review threads. Verification should cover the PublicBar signup key’s 44px phone hit area and the rendered Connect intro under zh-CN.

The supplied review guidance requires tests with the change, so the merge queue alone does not satisfy that requirement.

Would you like a GitHub issue to track both items until the follow-up lands?

…ep their text, and the clamp guard pins its orient (Team-Commonly#3382)

* fix(v2): CodeRabbit's last points on Team-Commonly#3373 and Team-Commonly#3381: the bar key's hit area, folded code fences, the clamp's box orient

Team-Commonly#3373 and Team-Commonly#3381 were already in the merge queue when CodeRabbit raised
these, so they land here.
- Agent profile public bar: Team-Commonly#3373 drew the Sign up key at 28, and its
phone hit area still reached 5px each way, 38 in all. It now reaches 8
  (28 + 16 = 44). A guard computes the reach from the last inset.
- Activity plainLine: an agent post arrives with its newlines folded, so
the fence's info-string match ran to the end of the text, and
`Before ```js code ``` after` read "Before". The info string is now a
bare word, and tests in the folded shape cover it.
- The two-row clamp's guard pins `-webkit-box-orient: vertical`, which
  the prefixed clamp needs.
- Connect: the translated intro is asserted on the rendered zh-CN page,
  not only in source.

* fix(v2): the bar key's overlay measures from inside its border, so it reaches 9px to make 44

From the review of Team-Commonly#3382: the key is drawn at 28 with a 1px border, and an
absolute ::before measures from the padding box (26). So -8px gave 42 in
Chromium, and the old -5px gave 36, not 38. It now reaches 9px each way:
26 + 18 = 44. Measured at 390 in light and dark, the hit area is 44.5
tall and both ±21 points land on Sign up. The guard now subtracts the
border, and it fails at -8.
