adds vitest and 23 tests for the pure helpers (dates, tags, heatmap grid, slug safety, markdown io, embedding parsing) — the code every one of the 1023 posts flows through. stacked on #15 so ci runs them.
til: a stacked pr targets the previous branch instead of main, so its diff only shows its own changes; when #15 merges and its branch is deleted, github automatically retargets this one to main.
