Protected Claude sessions need a pinned runtime and a native boundary that pauses unsafe work while the policy decision is pending. This connects Claude context and tool checks to the shared service, adds native process hook enforcement, and retires sessions before protection changes. Protected state is isolated from ordinary session reuse.

Claude registers its configured models for temporary, tool-free review inference. Runtime, security, and live native protection tests stay with this adapter, together with the exact Claude fixture installer and macOS CI steps. The existing Claude hook/watchdog implementation is preserved; its redesign is deferred.

Code flow

[4/6] Add protection to the Claude harness plugin — illustrative code flow

Claude holds native input, tool actions and raw output. Its 350-second native watchdog stops stalled callbacks before the 600-second CLI timeout.

Illustrative flow; checks shown enabled. Source: claude.ts, claude_hooks.rs.

Review and merge bottom to top:

  1. [1/6] Add verified plugin processes and native containment
  2. [2/6] Add agent-bound protection policy and plugin API
  3. [3/6] Add protection to the Pi harness plugin
  4. [4/6] Add protection to the Claude harness plugin
  5. [5/6] Add protection to the Codex harness plugin
  6. [6/6] Add protection to the Goose harness plugin

Validation

TypeScript and the Claude suite pass (241 passed, 3 skipped), using the exact pinned native Claude fixture. Native host-process and watchdog tests pass (19 tests). The macOS CI lane adds the pinned Claude installer and live fixture at this layer.

Draft. Human app acceptance remains pending. The stack preserves the original implementation without functional changes from splitting it.
