Accepted on main as 179749636fd4ddce07b186d4fe3456a43fa91162: final promotion acceptance records history/tree equality, all five exact-main proofs, broad Packages, analysis, skips and operational boundaries. #8655/#8294/#8286 are closed; #8214/#8194 remain open. The program continues with #8658.

This promotes the consolidation checkpoint into Core main while preserving the program and imported contributor histories. The product changes keep execution-cycle ownership through checkpoints and awaited persistence, restore atomic MongoDB workflow-definition updates, and prevent duplicate or stranded Studio edge-hover remove buttons.

The accompanying build and proof tooling supports opt-in consolidated packages, package/source/symbol provenance, representative consumers, persisted SQLite upgrades, immutable candidate recovery and guarded publisher preparation. This is a source-integration checkpoint; release and operational acceptance remain separate.

Exact comparison

All applicable exact-head premerge CI checks have passed at 0da8146. Independent source review is APPROVE / HIGH after two clean passes; Greptile is 5/5 at the same head. The retained-package audit and exact-main post-merge acceptance passed.

Accepted program merge 9df90490… and both parents were read back after #8656 merged; its tree equals reviewed/tested 68d0e48d…. Five subsequent review-correction commits preserve all twelve slice landings and source ancestry. The current delta is 80 commits, 113 changed files and eleven changed workflows. No matching open promotion PR existed at claim.

Integration review corrections

CodeQL found that the general anonymous GET allowlist used unescaped dots in the GitHub API hostname. Both dots now match literally; regressions reject three lookalike hosts before child execution/request counting and accept the exact GitHub host. The separate credentialed-request guard was stricter; this finding does not establish credential disclosure.

The package-proof checkout now disables credential persistence. The Extensions publisher inventory correctly records tag-derived release versions. Both expiring original-artifact upgrade lanes retain codex/manual triggers and strict input/expiry validation, but no longer run on automatic main pushes. This promotion explicitly dispatches and audits both on the exact merged main while originals are valid. No expired-input skip, silent replacement or reduced proof matrix is introduced. One unused test import was removed.

Synthetic executor/summary/stable-upgrade fixtures now share a controlled test clock. The original future-clock harness reproduced three failures; the fixed regression exercises five real success paths under a 2030 ambient clock, restores patches and blocks external actions. Explicit executor/stable expiry negatives remain, and the summary negative checks scheduling timestamps. Production expiry rules/constants remain unchanged. Admission fixtures also control the actual candidate-validation clock and retain post-expiry denial before environment/approval reads in both publication modes. Cleanup uses Python 3.10-compatible APIs; no Python 3.10 interpreter execution is claimed.

Validation: 142 focused contracts passed for the initial correction batch. All 80 affected clock/executor/summary/stable contracts pass normally and under an optimized 2030 ambient clock; zero skips and complete module-clock restoration were checked. Lead independently passed the 14 changed clock/admission contracts normally and with -O on the integrated head. Cumulative diff checks pass; prior workflow lint remains applicable because this correction changes only two test files. Independent exact-head source review is APPROVE / HIGH after two clean Sol passes, plus separate Luna review of the matching worker tree. Fresh hosted CI, CodeQL and Greptile have passed at this final head. Earlier 9df/12365b/5d79 results remain historical.

Slice history and retained evidence

Use a history-preserving two-parent merge for this PR. Do not squash/rebase the program range. Do not use [skip ci] on the #8656 program merge or this promotion: the former becomes this PR's head and could suppress required main-PR checks.

Required validation

  • Read back the actual accepted program merge SHA, parents and intended-tree equality; refresh main/ancestry, competing PRs and board at opening. Recheck before merge and reconcile any newer changes.
  • Pass ordinary main-PR Compile Test and all applicable exact-head consolidated package/build, Mongo, Studio, execution-cycle, integration-program, import/package-impact, provenance and tooling checks. Retain lead QA, independent Elsa 3 APPROVE + HIGH and Greptile 5/5 at that head. Zero configured required contexts does not waive these manual gates. Requested Copilot review is not delivered review.
  • After merge, record main SHA, both parents, containment and tested/reviewed-tree equality; retain successful automatic main Packages unit/integration, component and build/pack evidence.
  • Obtain exact merged-main Mongo and Studio proofs. Mongo retains the baseline controls, complete provider/CAS/BPMN coverage, topology/image/input hashes and supported-framework builds. Studio requires the full ClientLib gate and nine natural plus four supplemental browser records. Verify actual workflow headSha; --ref main alone does not freeze a prior SHA. Retain merged-main execution-cycle/ProtoActor evidence where required.
  • Explicitly dispatch both persisted-workflow-upgrade-proof.yml and stable-persisted-workflow-upgrade-proof.yml on the exact merged main while their pinned originals are valid. Verify actual source/run/attempt, full six-cell results and artifact hashes independently. These lanes no longer run automatically on main pushes; expiry remains a failure and requires a separate reviewed input-identity update.
  • Record skips and unavailable provider/cluster-delete coverage explicitly. Broad Packages omits imported test/extensions and browser tests and cannot substitute for focused proofs. Inspect every main-triggered workflow; record any existing wiki-only automation PR separately, with its merge outside this scope.

Release and closure boundaries

Main push builds/tests/packs. Feedz/NuGet publication and coverage deployment require manual opt-ins; the original-candidate executor is manual, protected and currently fails closed on unconfigured operational policy. No publication/deployment dispatch, tag/release, production migration or publisher cutover is included.

Immutable stable artifact 11412848210 predates the newer execution, Mongo and Studio fixes. It is historical proof of its own source, not a candidate for these changes. A fresh source-bound candidate and live authority/quiescence/publication/recovery/cutover remain under #8220; #8636 operational Dependabot/feed acceptance and paused #8643 Hosted/package-browser acceptance remain separate. Recheck artifact availability/digests/expiry before reliance. Refresh historical #8275/#8260/#8279 gates within their accepted scopes.

Keep #8655 and #8294 open until their post-merge exact-main evidence is accepted. Lead then closes #8655 manually and reconciles #8294, #8286 and #8214 against their own acceptance and children. Do not close #8194 from this checkpoint.

Independent Elsa 3 source/integration review for actual PR #8657: APPROVE + HIGH, second source pass clean, no actionable findings. Lead source review also passes; runtime/CI acceptance is still pending.

Exact bindings: base b38e7523f79297076e51701fd951c426145aa99c; head 9df90490eee034088b4341b149986de6b9d317b0; tree c42466e3b6b23f6771511b0ff201832b3b9689d3. Both program-merge parents, all twelve accepted slice landings, main as merge base and 75-ahead/zero-behind were verified. Actual head has zero source difference from reviewed 68d0e48d1eca94c4bfe2f8d3db5ec3d70159d980. Cumulative diff check passes.

GitHub's temporary PR merge f3efa6cbc5c19728e86c255af9b08849eb321525 has base/head parents and the same tree. The unchanged main-specific pr workflow checks out the PR merge by default, so retain its actual checkout identity/tree alongside its run association; do not mislabel that checkout as the head commit. Source-bound focused lanes separately require the candidate head. Recheck if either ref changes.

The second pass confirmed execution ownership, Mongo transaction/CAS/tenant behavior, Studio hover/read-only behavior, opt-in packaging and publisher admission. Main protection has zero configured required status contexts/approvals; the explicit program gates still apply. packages.yml, pr.yml and wiki automation are unchanged from main. Publish/deployment opt-ins remain manual, and the original-byte publisher still fails closed on unconfigured operational policy. Main promotion provides no live authority.

Ordinary Compile Test, consolidated packages, Mongo, execution-cycle, Studio, tooling, import/package-impact and provenance checks have started on this promotion. Prior slice receipts support review but do not replace those checks. Post-merge exact-main Mongo/Studio and automatic Packages evidence remain mandatory; keep #8655/#8294 open until accepted. The original immutable stable artifact predates the newer source changes, so fresh release-candidate work remains under #8220.

No heavy local verification was run; preexisting worktree artifacts and user changes remain untouched. No fresh binary/API compatibility claim, main merge, publication or deployment is made by this source review.

RetriggerConfidence Score: 5/5

[High risk] Adds release automation workflows and build configuration for a major version consolidation.

No outstanding review findings block merging, but the exact-head CI, independent review, and promotion gates listed in the PR remain required; this assessment does not authorize publication.

What we checked:

  • Test clocks stay patched: Each test registers cleanup before patching clocks. The outer regression also checks that the nested tests restore every clock it changed.
  • Expired candidates reach approval: The new negative sets the actual candidate-validation clock to 2030. The production expiry check still runs before environment reads, and the test checks both admission modes.

Summary

This checkpoint integrates workflow execution ownership, atomic MongoDB updates, Studio hover fixes, and nonpublishing package proof and recovery tooling.

  • Since the previous review, only two test files changed. Admission fixtures now control the actual candidate-validation clock.
  • The future-clock regression covers five success paths and checks clock restoration. A separate negative checks that expired candidates stop both admission modes before environment or approval reads.
  • sfmskywalker accepted “Synthetic tests expire in November” for correction within [Task] Promote the verified consolidation checkpoint to Core main #8655, specifying controlled synthetic clocks while retaining production artifact identities and expiry guards. The unnumbered thread is addressed, including the admission fixtures missed by the earlier correction.
  • No new actionable issues or repository-rule violations were found. Exact-head hosted checks and the stated promotion gates remain separate requirements; no tests were executed during this review.

Review corrections are now pushed at 12365b98791b5333fcbe9781abd0346314fc195b (tree 0462271747e8481734bbe210663eca334576a400). Main/merge-base remains b38e7523f79297076e51701fd951c426145aa99c: 77 ahead, zero behind, all twelve accepted slice landings preserved.

Independent Elsa 3 source/integration review: APPROVE + HIGH, two clean passes on this exact combined head. Lead source review is clean. This supersedes the earlier source verdict that missed the hostname defect; it is not CI or merge acceptance.

Corrections: literal GitHub API hostname matching with three rejected-host regressions and an exact-host positive control; disabled package-proof checkout credential persistence; source-grounded Extensions publisher wording; removed only automatic main triggers from the two expiring original-artifact upgrade lanes; removed one unused test import. Both upgrade lanes retain codex/manual triggers, fixed identities, expiry failures and full matrices. Both will be explicitly dispatched and audited on the exact merged main before #8655 acceptance.

Lead validation: 142 focused Python tests passed normally and with -O, actionlint passed for all three changed workflows, and cumulative diff checks passed. Existing receipt/exception safety boundaries and intentional Protocol/re-export/test-helper behavior were reviewed and retained.

Fresh final-head hosted CI, CodeQL and Greptile 5/5 remain required. Still-running superseded 9df workflows were canceled after the push; completed old receipts remain historical. Copilot review was requested again and is not claimed as delivered. Main has not merged; publication, deployment, source-publisher cutover and fresh candidate acceptance remain separate.

Synthetic-clock correction is pushed at 5d79ef9876e8f9148ee8a341a851434cd8bed8bb (tree 47aae7afc7ef739acf47ede3e87b98bdd2c32f23). Main/merge-base is unchanged at b38e7523f79297076e51701fd951c426145aa99c; 79 ahead, zero behind. All twelve accepted landings remain ancestors.

Independent Elsa 3 source review: APPROVE + HIGH, two clean passes on this exact combined head. Only four test files changed after approved 12365b; production code, expiry constants, artifact identities, workflows and authority boundaries are unchanged by this correction.

Before the fix, a controlled 2030 clock reproduced three failing synthetic success paths. The shared test-only clock now lets all three actual success tests pass under that future ambient clock and verifies patch restoration. Executor and stable-fixture controls still reject historical expiry before network/extraction. The summary negative specifically rejects a post-expiry scheduling timestamp; it does not claim that all historical receipts become invalid just because today is later. Manual fixture cleanup is guaranteed, using APIs compatible with the documented Python 3.10 baseline; no actual Python 3.10 run is claimed.

Lead ran all 79 affected tests normally and with -O: both passed, with cumulative diff checks clean. Earlier correction validation (142 focused tests, workflow lint) remains recorded. Fresh hosted CI, CodeQL and Greptile are running at this head; the earlier 12365b Greptile 5/5 is historical. Copilot was requested again, not claimed delivered. Superseded running CI was canceled after the push.

No main merge is accepted yet. Exact merged-main Packages, Mongo, Studio, execution-cycle and both explicitly dispatched original-artifact upgrade lanes remain required; expiry/availability failures cannot be waived. #8655/#8294 remain open. No publication or deployment occurred.

Archive SHA-256 values, verified against GitHub metadata: Mongo 24f3d22fe7dee3b36ad194f0caa8c5404462dfb12b5f92123a4e59d3282a0868; execution 8e71870894531144efff7f780a3b70e8eac7f2eb37b78fe5ce6164c9172a401c; Studio 318c57d7b90e5bcc5ad521d860d18f1e57f1bdfd2198acce94810209af9d8f86; stable upgrade 3a772e50133cc60b14284613e70952bc090ebc96a23779a9c7155bc7a406ef96. All are currently unexpired. First three expire October 21; stable proof expires October 14 at 23:55:13 UTC.

Mongo baseline/candidate use the same mongo:7.0.24 image, with replica-set and candidate standalone checks. Studio receipt binds 15 tracked files, one restored lockfile and 923 installed dependency hashes to four pinned lock owners; current guards verified those installed bytes before/after execution, but raw dependency bytes are not in the artifact. The isolation controls retain real event order and old-A button presence, pass when the target handler runs and reject the exact clear predicate when omitted. This is isolated helper evidence, not a full Studio host journey or paused #8643 acceptance.

The stable matrix executor is this promotion head, but its immutable package producer remains ba5b348aa2414fdf7c19d9d8806e87b7c91a4205 / artifact 11412848210. It proves the historical original package bytes, not binaries containing the newer fixes. Fresh candidate acceptance remains required under #8220. Both original-artifact upgrade lanes must still be explicitly audited on merged main; no skipped prerequisite is treated as passed.

GitHub's current test merge 34ec6f5a0198e257d48e22f47f2885ed968a537a has main/head parents and tree 47aae7afc7ef739acf47ede3e87b98bdd2c32f23, equal to the candidate. The ordinary pr workflow uses that test merge; focused lanes bind the head. Recheck either binding if main or head changes. No merge, publication or deployment is claimed.

Final admission-fixture correction and source review

Exact head: 0da8146aaeaf35cb06feb1a7c87920cf3bb3df20; base/main remains b38e7523f79297076e51701fd951c426145aa99c; tree 6ddb9a8dc1e22b97b4746c5fe5ab2f50c830e580 equals reviewed worker bc1948f1d71958a7bff9dc39df4cef03ed720303. All twelve accepted slice landings are preserved; the program is 80 ahead / zero behind main.

Greptile's latest 5/5 review of the preceding 5d79ef98 head identified one remaining synthetic admission-clock dependency. Both native-approval and pre-scheduling success tests reproduced candidate_unavailable_or_changed under a controlled 2030 clock. The correction adds the actual candidate-validator clock to shared fixture setup and expands the retained future-clock regression from three to five real success paths. Both publication modes still reject the expired original before environment/approval/credential metadata checks. Production constants, original artifact identities, expiry checks and workflows are unchanged.

Validation and review:

  • Worker: all 80 affected tests passed normally and all 80 passed with optimization under outer 2030 clocks, zero skips; the latter covers the complete executor module and verifies restoration of every patched module clock. No external publication occurred.
  • Lead: all 14 clock/admission contracts pass normally and with -O on the integrated head; cumulative diff checks pass and the two-file delta was reviewed.
  • Independent Sol 6.1: Elsa 3 APPROVE / HIGH, two clean source-review passes at this exact integrated head.
  • Independent Luna 6 Extra High: APPROVE / HIGH, two clean passes on the matching worker tree.
  • Existing shared cleanup uses Python 3.10-compatible APIs; no execution on a Python 3.10 interpreter is claimed.

Fresh exact-head CI/CodeQL/Greptile is running. Previous 5d79ef98 focused proof receipts, completed broad tests, CodeQL success and Greptile 5/5 remain historical. Its two still-running package runs were cancelled after the correction was pushed. Copilot review has not been delivered. No main merge is accepted yet; exact-main proof and both original-artifact upgrade dispatches remain mandatory after a gated merge. This source review does not close #8655, #8294 or the program.

Fresh focused proof acceptance at 0da8146aaeaf35cb06feb1a7c87920cf3bb3df20

Lead receipt readback and independent focused runtime review pass for the three new runs below. Each is attempt 1, succeeded at this exact head and retained an unexpired sanitized artifact. This replaces earlier-head runtime evidence for these PR gates; it does not establish broad CI or post-main acceptance.

Proof Run / artifact Verified scope
Mongo 37706877543 / 11520585675 103 Mongo cases including all 20 CAS, ten BPMN cases, zero skips; exactly two intended baseline failures; three fixture and three production framework builds; all 14 input hashes match Git objects.
Execution 37706877801 / 11519754812 857 passes (326+461+40+18+12), zero skips; five fixture and twelve production/framework builds; all twelve input hashes match Git objects.
Studio 37706877629 / 11519519663 263 frontend cases, typecheck, eight guards, two bundles/six assets; nine natural browser cases plus all four mandatory destination-handler isolation/negative controls; zero errors/blocked requests; 939 input bindings verified within the documented dependency-byte evidence limits.

Mongo retains the same mongo:7.0.24 image (sha256:838fd7a8bae22453c3e6d1907693fe50f8333aab7ab0766417a030c126d8b3f7) across baseline/candidate, with replica-set baseline and replica-set/standalone candidate coverage. Studio's controls verify actual event order, old-A model/DOM buttons present before target entry, clearing when delivered and failure of the exact clear predicate when omitted; vertex controls remain intact. This is focused browser evidence, not #8643 full-host/paired acceptance.

Artifact byte identities:

  • Mongo ZIP 68151efc38c5014e0ec1ded9dac2d8629ed75db9ebcfc9de2b1c2e11df727c44; receipt 664db9b5bf053b37394e612494f0013d3c625dde3cf27cb4b8c957fb87099033.

All expire on October 22 at their individual metadata timestamps. Original prerelease/stable upgrade inputs also remain available with expected hashes and expiries (October 13 / November 5); their byte-specific historical results are preserved. Both upgrade workflows must still be explicitly dispatched/audited on the actual merged main. Broad CI, final automated review, ordinary merge and exact-main verification remain outstanding; #8655/#8294 stay open.

Broad CI and review accepted; consolidated package proof still pending

Exact head 0da8146aaeaf35cb06feb1a7c87920cf3bb3df20, tree 6ddb9a8dc1e22b97b4746c5fe5ab2f50c830e580. The normal PR/tool checkout was GitHub test merge 1725f71754e82fc33c814cd5d764c119fcd49bbf, whose parents are main b38e7523… and this exact head, with the same tree. Package jobs checked out the exact head directly. Independent broad evidence audit is APPROVE / HIGH; lead has reviewed the audited scope and checkout bindings.

  • Normal PR 37706877595: Compile/Test succeeded; 102 distinct assembly/framework result rows, 7,674 passed, 145 skipped, zero failures. This is 7,508 net10 passes plus 83 Designer cases on each of net8/net9. NUKE's 7,508 rollup excludes those two extra-framework result rows. Skips are 144 UserTasks conformance and one existing clustered component test.
  • Tools 37706877586: 696 tests normally and optimized, each with three opt-in compiled-symbol skips; the dedicated compiled helper subsequently passes those three tests in each mode. Maintenance 49/49 and activity 15/15 pass normally/optimized; native selector Ruby proof passes four tests/43 assertions; provider bridge steps pass.
  • Packages 37706871259: unit/integration 4,870 passed, 144 skipped, zero failures across 64 Core net10 project builds/results; component 226 passed, one skipped, zero failures. Coverage succeeds. Restore/Compile/Pack succeeds with zero errors, producing 103 nupkg + 103 snupkg. Publication selection, Feedz/NuGet publication and coverage deployment are intentionally skipped on the push event. These are the normal package set, not the consolidated inventory.
  • Package-impact 37706877599: mapped historical Elsa.Slack 3.8.5-proof passes net8/net9/net10 consumers and offline CreateChannel, with retained/portable four-consumer provenance rechecks. Pinned/released jobs are manual-only and skipped here. The one declared upstream Slack test remains NotExecuted; its receipt explicitly records correctness_closure_complete=false. This does not claim current consolidated package coverage or live Slack behavior.

CodeQL check 113083349915 succeeds with no new alerts; Greptile comment 6049036579 is 5/5 at this exact head, with no blocking findings. All 18 review threads are resolved at readback. Independent source review and focused runtime acceptance are recorded above. Requested Copilot review has not been delivered.

The consolidated package proof 37706877556 remains actively running and has not produced an artifact at this checkpoint. Its current-source inventory/provenance/consumer gate is NOT accepted yet. No main merge is performed while it is pending. Fresh final premerge state and exact-main postmerge proofs remain mandatory.

Nonblocking editorial drift in the older asset-ledger overview is explicitly owned by #8216: authoritative JSON contains 163 disposed rows (113 represented / 50 retired), while older narrative counts need reconciliation before broader handoff closeout. This does not waive publisher, contribution, Hosted or operational acceptance; #8214/#8216/#8194 stay open.

Exact-head premerge acceptance

All applicable checks passed at 0da8146aaeaf35cb06feb1a7c87920cf3bb3df20, base b38e7523f79297076e51701fd951c426145aa99c, tree 6ddb9a8dc1e22b97b4746c5fe5ab2f50c830e580. The temporary PR test merge 1725f71754e82fc33c814cd5d764c119fcd49bbf has the same tree. Independent Elsa 3 source review returned APPROVE / HIGH after two clean passes; Greptile is 5/5 on this exact head, CodeQL passed, and all 18 review threads are resolved. Copilot review was requested but has not been delivered.

The final consolidated package proof, attempt 1, passed. Independent Sol audit and lead QA accepted artifact 11520889540, 92,796,244 bytes, expiring 2026-10-15T01:08:02Z:

  • ZIP SHA256: c950a30e3fc791d4adbc67593338db86f278c5de00392a798006f6a64d37f4f2.
  • Receipt SHA256: 5dbc0aaebbb2f3103699145ea5cae58ca71279156c3d08298dd5e711ee4c9ae7.
  • 225 package/symbol pairs, all 450 archive hashes verified; 349 evaluated projects and 124 excluded project rows (123 distinct IDs, including two separate excluded Elsa.Server.Web hosts).
  • 668 provenance framework rows; 16,875 tracked-source observations covering 5,667 unique paths independently matched to exact Git blobs. Hosted remote source checks passed. Generated and external source evidence retains its documented compiled-byte/generator/provenance limits.
  • One isolated fresh-cache package-only consumer ran on net8/net9/net10. All 51 observed loaded assemblies matched package bytes, 26 restored local packages matched their archives, and 137 client-library Git inputs plus six packaged browser assets matched. Runtime consumer proof is representative, not certification of every package or deployed authorization.

The focused runtime acceptance and broad CI acceptance remain current at this head, including their explicit skips and scope limits. All checks were refreshed green before this checkpoint. The package proof is unpublished version 3.10.0-proof.37706877556.1, not a new release candidate.

Fresh release/source intake at 01:09–01:11Z found latest published release 3.9.0 in Core, Studio and Extensions, all 35 advertised 3.8/3.9 release refs unchanged, and all source mains included in Core main and this candidate. All 114 explicit-object ancestry checks passed. Studio's 15 and Extensions' 16 open PR heads are unchanged; their disposition remains separate. Project 52 still has exactly one active delivery Task, #8655; #8658 is queued and blocked by it.

The lead will use an ordinary two-parent merge, then dispatch and audit Mongo, execution-cycle, Studio and both original-artifact persisted-upgrade proofs on the actual main merge SHA, alongside automatic main Packages and every triggered workflow. #8655 and #8294 stay open pending that acceptance. #8286 requires its own closeout; #8214, #8216, #8220 and #8194 retain outstanding outcomes. No publication, deployment, source-publisher cutover or archival is authorized by this proof.
