APPROVE + HIGH @ 64be37a Reviewed assets-before-pack ordering, lockstep Preview package metadata, the 3.11 version gate, asset inventory guards, try guide and release notes. Earlier child references to 3.10 are superseded by the epic. This merges packaging preparation, not a registry publication claim. The final adaptation source passes 227 unit, 28 hosting and 49 browser tests, lint/types, module-boundary and localization checks, and builds for net8/net9/net10. The final six findings and subsequent expression-alias/index and cached-culture findings were fixed with regression coverage before this merge. At merge time, current-head CI is green, Greptile is 5/5 on this exact head, and the exhaustive stack thread audit records zero unresolved findings. This is an author self-review under the task owner's explicit standing self-review/self-merge authority, not an independent approval. Use the standard head-matched merge into main without changing protection or using an admin bypass. |
The root release build still targets the existing 3.10 stream, but React Studio first ships with 3.11. This excludes the new React libraries from older package versions while automatically including 3.11 previews and plain 3.11.0. It adds Preview tags and a lockstep package/assembly version check, and installs Node 22 in packages.yml so NUKE can build embedded JavaScript before Compile/Pack.
Studio documentation now includes a source/package try guide and 3.11 release preparation notes. Existing sidebar/title Preview labeling is retained. The release base and publication controls are preserved; this change publishes nothing.
Validation: actual 3.10.0 pack produced no React packages; all 18 plain 3.11.0 artifacts pass framework, embedded-asset, Preview metadata, notice and dependency-version verification. Three evaluated-MSBuild policy tests cover older/proof/preview/stable versions and mismatched package/assembly versions. Existing publication workflow-gate tests (10) and gate validator pass. The current browser suite already checks the sidebar/title Preview label.
Addresses #8848, part of #8859. Stacked on #8946. Package publication remains gated and the epic stays open.
