Closes #10323

What

specs/t27f/token_floor.t27 is an infographic in which every particle carries a fact. One token of a chat reply costs 1.7 J, the Landauer floor for naming it is 4.9e-20 J, and the gap is 19 decades.

  • The balls. Twenty glass balls drop one by one into a glass tube on a glossy black floor. The white ball is the floor value and each gold ball is a factor of ten. They move under gravity and Hertz contact with the engine's dashpot, integrated by velocity Verlet at 16 substeps per frame.
  • The text. Every letter is a set of dots steered by the engine's critically damped PD controller. Each label is emitted by the ball it describes, at the substep the integrator finds that ball touching the stack.
  • The counter. The X10^k counter is one 48-particle pool that re-forms as each gold ball lands. It steers at 5x gain and stays critically damped.
  • The sources. The numbers come from physical_limits, the forces from particle_engine and the frame helpers from reel_particles; nothing is restated. In those three specs, 15 helper fns become pub and no behaviour changes.

Evidence (Railway lab)

  • Per-test report of specs/t27f/token_floor.t27: 19/19 pass, 0 vacuous. The edited specs pass 21/21, 15/15 and 18/18.
  • I planted eight faults, and each one failed at least one test:
    • decades floor->ceil;
    • PD damping not gained;
    • rest pitch;
    • counter bound;
    • counter gain;
    • reflection scale;
    • STEPS;
    • release schedule.
  • tools/dupe_scan.py --like: token_floor, physical_limits and reel_particles are clean. The only hit is log_frame in particle_engine, which was already there before this PR.
  • No bytes above 0x7F in any of the four files.
  • Render: 450 frames of 1080x1920, H.264 crf 16, 5.2 MB, 37 s on the lab. Measured with ffmpeg signalstats: the counter box goes from Y 29 at t=3.6 to Y 197-228 from t=4.0 through t=12; the background is about Y 27, limited range.

The rendered mp4 is not committed and not published.

…s a fact (Closes #10323)

One token of a chat reply costs 1.7 J; the Landauer floor for naming it is
4.9e-20 J; the gap is 19 decades. Twenty glass balls drop into a tube on a
glossy black floor: the white ball is the floor, each gold ball a factor of
ten. Balls move under gravity and Hertz contact (velocity Verlet); every letter
is PD-steered dots emitted by the ball it describes; the X10^k counter is one
particle pool that re-forms as each gold ball lands. Numbers come from
physical_limits, forces from particle_engine, frame helpers from
reel_particles; fifteen helper fns there become pub, no behaviour change.

19/19 tests pass, 0 vacuous; eight planted faults all caught; dupe scan clean.

Seal Status

  • ⚠️ STALE -- sha256(compiler.rs)=c485c8bd3372 != manifest seal=87e5cbd3ad94.
    The committed NMSE numbers were certified against an older compiler.rs.
    Run scripts/reseal-check.sh locally for the two-step reseal command (advisory; not a merge gate).
