fix(git-core): scope doctor force-reclaim to a single worktree - #515
Conversation
item(action=\doctor\, reclaim=true, force=true) deleted every dirty worktree in the repo, not just the one the caller meant to fix. An unscoped force reclaim aimed at repairing one broken worktree (task/479) destroyed two unrelated items' uncommitted work (task/110, task/473). Add reclaim_scoped(..., target) so a caller can restrict reclaim to one lane by name/path; wire it up as an optional \worktree\ field on the MCP doctor action. Unscoped reclaim (target=None) still works for genuine repo-wide sweeps. Agentflare-Agent: claude-code_2-1-233_agent Agentflare-Branch: fix/doctor-scoped-reclaim

If your team needs uninterrupted high-volume reviews, an organization admin can enable usage-based reviews. How do review limits work?CodeRabbit enforces per-developer PR review limits for each organization. Most developers receive the normal plan review availability. For paid Pro and Pro+ PR reviews, CodeRabbit uses adaptive limits for sustained high-volume activity. When a developer's recent PR review activity reaches the 95th percentile or higher among CodeRabbit users, additional reviews become available more gradually as earlier reviews age out of the rolling window. 📝 WalkthroughWalkthroughThe doctor reclamation flow now accepts an optional worktree target. Matching lanes can be reclaimed without affecting unrelated dirty lanes. The MCP request, tool description, and regression tests support the new scoped behavior. ChangesScoped reclamation
Estimated code review effort: 3 (Moderate) | ~20 minutes Merge Risk: 🟠 High · up to The scoped reclaim behavior can still delete a healthy linked worktree when it has no health flags, even without force. Because this may remove a valid worktree unexpectedly, the PR is not merge-ready until flagless lanes are skipped and the targeted regression test is added. Sequence Diagram(s)sequenceDiagram

lane.flags.iter().all(..) is vacuously true for a lane with no flags, so a perfectly healthy worktree named as was reclaim-eligible even with force=false. Skip empty-flags lanes before the safety checks. CodeRabbit finding on PR #515. Agentflare-Agent: claude-code_2-1-233_agent Agentflare-Branch: fix/doctor-scoped-reclaim
What
item(action="doctor", reclaim=true, force=true)had no per-worktree scope — it force-deleted every dirty worktree in the repo in one call, not just the one the caller meant to fix.On 2026-08-16 this destroyed uncommitted work in two unrelated items' worktrees (
task/110,task/473) when a session tried to force-reclaim its own broken worktree (task/479). Branches survived (committed history is fine); uncommitted content in the other two was lost.Fix
flare_git_core::doctor::reclaim_scoped(repo_root, report, force, target)— whentargetis set, every lane except the named one is skipped outright, even underforce=true.reclaim()keeps its old signature and now just delegates withtarget: None, so existing callers are unaffected.worktreefield on the MCPitem(action="doctor")request, threaded through as the scope target.itemtool description) to push callers toward always passingworktreealongsideforce=true.Tests
scoped_force_reclaim_touches_only_the_named_target(flare-git-core): 3 dirty linked worktrees, force-reclaim scoped to one — only the targeted one is deleted, the other two survive.item_doctor_force_reclaim_scoped_by_worktree_spares_other_dirty_lanes(MCP-level): same assertion through the actualitem()MCP call withworktreeset.flare-git-coredoctor test suite passes (14/14).Follow-up (not in this PR)
Filed item #482: dispatched jobs have no filesystem sandbox at all on Windows/macOS (bwrap only covers Linux/WSL2), which is the deeper reason a bug like this could reach other worktrees in the first place. Tracked separately as its own platform-sandboxing initiative.
