Summary

Action Before After
actions/checkout v4 v7
actions/setup-node v4 v7
coverallsapp/github-action 1.1.3 v2

Covers main.yml, npm-publish.yml and security-ci.yml. This removes the "Node.js 20 is deprecated" warning from every job.

Notes

  • checkout / setup-node: the new versions run on Node 24 (GitHub-hosted runners already support it). setup-node v5+ turns on npm caching automatically only when package.json has a packageManager field. This repo doesn't have one, so the publish workflow still runs without a cache.
  • Coveralls v2 replaces node-coveralls with the universal coverage reporter. path-to-lcov is deprecated in v2. I set file: coverage/lcov.info explicitly: that's where Hardhat 3 test --coverage writes the report and where v1 looked by default. The coverage job on this PR is what verifies it.
  • Add slither job to Security Scan workflow; use latest Node LTS in CI #462 (Slither job) adds checkout@v4, setup-node@v4 and setup-python@v5 in a new job. Whichever PR merges second will need a rebase: both edit the end of security-ci.yml, and the Slither job's actions should then be bumped as well.

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

- actions/checkout v4 -> v7
- actions/setup-node v4 -> v7
- coverallsapp/github-action 1.1.3 -> v2 (path set via `file`,
  same coverage/lcov.info that v1 read by default)

Removes the Node.js 20 deprecation warning on all jobs.
