Load the site knowledge summary before advising on a site - #117
Conversation
Agents asked to work from one named knowledge record, or from a knowledge list, could stop there and miss records inherited from the client and the agency, including required ones. The server instructions and the bundled skill now say to call get_site_knowledge_v1 (get_client_knowledge_v1, then each site's summary, for client-wide work) before advising on, planning or drafting work for a site, and to tell the user when client and agency knowledge could not be loaded. The instructions length test now allows 2048 characters, the smallest per-server limit among known MCP clients. The fixture Dashboard carries the matching knowledge notice and record and list descriptions, plus a required agency skill. A new agent scenario, with a compact-schema variant, checks that a named-record request also loads the site summary and opens the required skill. The acceptance testing guide lists the new scenarios.
A site summary can load agency knowledge while the client block stays empty, and a client-wide pass can load the client summary before a later site summary fails. The server instructions, the bundled skill and the fixture knowledge notice now say to tell the user which knowledge was not loaded instead of always naming client and agency knowledge.

get-site-knowledge, get-client-knowledge, and get-knowledge-record use the
callable MCP tool names get_site_knowledge_v1, get_client_knowledge_v1, and
get_knowledge_record_v1. Keep the notice’s existing guidance unchanged.

mcp-server/safety.mdx:108-110documents the knowledge contract: summaries provide Dashboard-defined rules across agency, client, and site scopes; required records override more-specific records, while unverified records are informational only. This supports the PR’s summary-loading and required-skill behavior.[::mainwp/docs::]

- No Dashboard implementation or ability references to the new site/client knowledge-summary tools were found, so no cross-repository API mismatch was identified.

2-2: 🎯 Functional CorrectnessThe claim depends on whether the Dashboard notice labels are intended to be MCP tool names or Dashboard ability names. The inspected excerpts show both forms are used: MCP calls use underscore names such as
get_site_knowledge_v1, while the fixture adapter routes hyphenated Dashboard abilities such asmainwp/get-site-knowledge-v1.The registration and adapter binding are needed to decide whether the hyphenated labels in the notice are callable aliases. That evidence is not available yet.
Summary
An agent asked to work from one named knowledge record, or from a knowledge list, could stop there and miss records inherited from the client and the agency, including required ones.
get_site_knowledge_v1if it is available; for client-wide work, callget_client_knowledge_v1, then each site's summary. If the summary cannot be loaded, the agent tells the user that client and agency knowledge was not loaded.agent-named-record-inherits-required, checks that a named-record request also loads the site summary and opens the required skill. It andagent-site-knowledge-firstalso run with compact schemas.Compatibility
The instruction applies only when the knowledge tools are available, so Dashboards without them see no change. It does not depend on the matching Dashboard notice change.
