Add bounded atomic integer mutations to published shared user caches. This keeps conditional debits and concurrent updates ordered with cache writes, refreshes, checkpoints and retries.

Validation: producer package and cache lifecycle regression tests pass; independent source review completed. Downstream integration and compatibility validation remain in progress.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Added support for applying multiple integer balance changes atomically, including setting values, adding amounts, preventing balances from dropping below zero, and debiting positive balances.
    • Mutation results can report whether changes were applied and provide the previous values.
  • Bug Fixes
    • Improved handling of updates during saves and refreshes to help preserve recent changes and prevent stale data from restoring spent balances.
    • Improved recovery when saving or scheduling updates fails, including rebuilding the visible state after a failed save.

Walkthrough

UserDataCache adds bounded atomic integer mutations and changes how queued, in-flight, and persisted writes are reconciled with snapshots. Tests cover concurrent mutations, notifications, flushes, refreshes, retries, and cache replacement.

Changes: UserDataCache Mutations

Layer / File(s) Summary
Mutation API and operation handling
AdvancedCore/src/main/java/com/bencodez/advancedcore/api/user/usercache/UserDataCache.java, AdvancedCore/src/test/java/com/bencodez/advancedcore/tests/user/AtomicIntegerMutationTest.java
Adds IntegerMutation, IntegerMutationResult, and tryMutateIntegers. The method validates batches of 1–64 key/value pairs, applies supported operations, queues accepted changes, and dispatches or stages notifications. Tests cover operation results, concurrency, missing values, batch validation, and notification behavior.
Persistence and snapshot reconciliation
AdvancedCore/src/main/java/com/bencodez/advancedcore/api/user/usercache/UserDataCache.java, AdvancedCore/src/test/java/com/bencodez/advancedcore/tests/user/AtomicIntegerMutationTest.java
Updates snapshot merging, persistence version tracking, and recovery of queued or in-flight changes. Tests cover refreshes, retries, invalidated values, failed writes, and snapshot replacement.

Full details: Title check

Explanation

The title "Add atomic cached integer mutations" matches the main change. The summary adds the IntegerMutation enum, the IntegerMutationResult record, and tryMutateIntegers in UserDataCache, which apply bounded atomic integer mutations to published shared caches. The added AtomicIntegerMutationTest suite covers the same feature. The title is concise, specific, and free of file lists or vague terms. The objectives also name the same feature (PR #373). The title does not mention the snapshot reconciliation or requeue changes, but it is not required to cover every detail.

Full details: Docstring Coverage

Explanation

Docstring coverage is 18.18% which is insufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 11 functions across 2 files.

Resolution

Write docstrings for the functions missing them to satisfy the coverage threshold.

## Build and verification

All test classes and test-only helpers must live under `com.bencodez.advancedcore.tests` or its subpackages, with matching directories under `AdvancedCore/src/test/java`. Keep tests out of production packages. Preserve production visibility when relocating tests; use narrowly scoped test-only reflective helpers when package-private access is required. Preserve test discovery and the package-phase artifact tests.

## Persistence, configuration, and resources

- Make multi-step persistence transitions atomic or recoverable. Test failure before write, after write, before acknowledgement, during reload, and on restart when applicable.

## Persistence, configuration, and resources

- Bound queues, caches, input sizes, retries, and diagnostics. Handle executor rejection, cancellation, null/closed connections, and interruption explicitly.

The reported exception path is contained by dispatchSharedUserDataNotification.

The production method catches RuntimeException and Error from both the captured notification and lifecycle admission callback. Inline execution therefore does not make tryMutateIntegers throw. The test helper's inline mock does not establish production behavior.
