155-155: 🎯 Functional Correctness | 🔵 Trivial | ⚡ Quick winAdd tests for limiter and authentication refusals.
The changed middleware placement adds logging for these paths, but the supplied route test covers only a registry 404. Add one test for the 429 limiter response and one test for authentication rejection. Assert exactly one structured refusal line and exclude credentials and request bodies.
As per coding guidelines: “New code path ≠ test: flag it. Name the specific test that should exist.”

#2522 TASK-397 @ 3f13948 — CODE GATE: HOLD
The structured line can still contain a runtime credential copied from the request body. logValue strips punctuation but preserves letters, digits, and underscores. For example, an install refusal with config.runtime.runtimeType: "cm_agent_example123" logs that token-shaped value as runtimeType; the same input in agentName or instanceId is also logged on early validation refusals. The test only puts secret in a separate token field, so it cannot catch this path. This fails the requested no-token/no-secret-in-any-field property.
Constrain logged runtime types to known enum values. For caller-supplied identity fields, redact credential-shaped values before serializing, including on validation failures. Add a refusal test that puts a credential-shaped value in each logged field and asserts the entire console line omits it. The response/status path otherwise looks unchanged in this diff.

#2522 TASK-397 @ a47d515 — CODE GATE: PASS
The prior log-field leak is addressed. runtimeType now comes from a fixed allowlist, invalid or known credential-prefixed agent/instance values are redacted before serialization, and a credential-shaped response code is excluded. The new test puts the token-shaped value in all three request fields and checks both the structured fields and the entire console line. The routes still return through their existing res.json paths, with no changed status or response body in this delta. This gate covers the code; CI was still running when reviewed.

🔒 Security & Privacy | 🟠 Major | ⚡ Quick win
Redact unprefixed credential values before logging identities.
A 32-character hexadecimal token such as 0123456789abcdef0123456789abcdef passes this validation. If a requester puts that token in agentName or instanceId, a JSON refusal writes the token to the warning log. Reject opaque credential-shaped values or log a non-reversible identifier instead. As per coding guidelines, “No secrets in logs, commits, response bodies, or env vars named to look benign.”
